In 2005, Dr. Anzalone formed and served as CEO of the Benet Group LLC, a private equity firm focused on creating and building new nano-biotechnology companies from university-generated science. Prior to his tenure at the Benet Group, he was a partner at the Washington, DC-based private equity firm Galway Partners, LLC, where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, and building new business ventures. Prior to Galway, Dr. Anzalone was an NIH-supported post doctoral fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Smithsonian Institution’s Conservation and Research Center. Dr. Anzalone holds a Ph.D. in Biology from UCLA and a B.A. in Government from Lawrence University.

I have a passion to develop new medicines that will have a positive impact on people’s lives, with particular focus on controlling or eradicating serious diseases in global settings. From my early years as a practicing physician in Argentina, I recognized the value of scientific progress to improve people’s health. I have excelled at devising improved methods and processes to ensure the safety and efficacy of new products at some of the world’s most renowned drug manufacturers.With an earned reputation for strategic thinking and decisive action, I have directed operations through all phases of clinical study worldwide, working collaboratively with great scientific and medical minds as well as regulatory, business and marketing experts. I have designed, executed and reported clinical trials and led protocol execution in partnership with CROs. I led a global development program that achieved FDA and European approval, as well as clinical programs achieving successful end of phase 2 regulatory interactions.Proudly, within my career in the field of drug development, I have:- Co-led (with Global Commercial Leader) cross-functional product team with responsibility for global development and commercialization strategy for multiple drugs and indications. - Identified / engaged external opinion leaders to reassurance data interpretation and shape clinical trials accordingly - Lectured extensively to physicians / global health institutions at academic level in U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America to promote new drugs.Offering practical, decisive leadership, I drive global development new drugs reflecting strengths in:- Clinical Development Process- Program Oversight- Trial Logistics- Protocol Compliance- Team Building / Direction- Partnership / Relationship Management.- Interpretation of Data and Vision / Translation of Scientific Data Into a Future Product- Communication and Presentation / Trial Data Reporting
