Opened in April of 2017, Cielo Grande Veterinary Center is proud to serve the Roswell, NM area for everything pet-related. We have a fantastic staff with decades of animal experience and we have a well equipped building so we can accomodate appointments and walk ins Monday through Friday. Cielo Grande Veterinary Center is the highest rated veterinary hospital in Chaves County!
We primarily focus on companion animals, but won't turn away an animal in need. In order to serve our community, we take scheduled wellness and sick appointments while also always making urgent care services available. Our doctors are supported by a remarkable team of experienced veterinary technicians and client service representatives.
Position Purpose

Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT

Clare Eddy Thaw Animal Hospital located on the Santa Fe Animal Shelter campus is accepting resumes for an experienced full time Veterinary Assistant/ Technician. Our hospital operates as a full-service General Practice but is a non-profit where all proceeds benefit the shelter. We are seeking team members that have veterinary hospital and animal handling experience. Must be willing to learn and work as a progressive team. We are seeking candidates that are self-motivated, who will administer vaccinations and medication, draw blood, assist the doctors with running diagnostics, assist in surgery, iv catheter placement etc. Must love working with the public, have compassion for animals in need, and possess a strong work ethic. Candidates must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand most of the shift. Our team works 4 -10 hour days. Bilingual (Spanish) speakers a plus. Compensation commensurate with experience. RVT and CVT preferred but not required. Serious applicants only.
