Responsibilities * Start, operate, repair and maintain various types of heating and air conditioning plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, electrical and other related systems equipment. * Review and interpret work order forms, operating instructions, electrical diagrams, building plans and mechanical equipment plans and specifications. * Perform major repairs and replacements of mechanical plant equipment. * Performs specialized building equipment maintenance tasks and maintain tasks logs and equipment inventories in Company owned and leased buildings. * Install, repair, and calibrate various makes of pneumatic and/or electric controls required for the operation of equipment and the control of temperature and humidity. * Maintain and repair motor controllers and associated electrical equipment and control circuits. * Use general and special tools, test meters, and gauges commonly used in connection with air conditioning, air handling and heating plant maintenance and other building equipment. * Repair and maintain sump pumps and associated controls and other peripheral equipment. * Perform inspections and make repairs on equipment or systems as required by Fidium Practices and/or Federal, State and local regulations and ordinances. Post current certificates and permits as required. * Move and/or lift weight up to 100 pounds. * Care for multiple building locations. * Travel from one building location to another via Company vehicle. * Wear safety equipment and adhere to Accident Prevention Plan Guidelines. * Assist Facilities Management by providing specialized knowledge on capital improvement jobs. * Follow established safety practices and procedures. * Works aloft from ladders and platforms, scaffolds and in high areas. * May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as requested.
