Bond & Specialty Insurance provides management and professional liability insurance, as well as surety bonds to businesses and non-profit organizations of all sizes. As an underwriter, you will have a dynamic role that blends evaluating and analyzing financial and business risk, building relationships, and selling and negotiating with clients, agents, and brokers. This role is part of the Commercial Surety team which provides surety bonds for individuals and businesses of all sizes both domestically and internationally. In the role, the Commercial Surety team member works in a fast-paced environment with a local and national team to build client, agent, and broker relationships, evaluate and price risk through financial and contractual underwriting, and offer surety product line solutions to our agents and customers. The Account Executive Officer (AEO) will partner with agents and brokers to provide insurance or surety solutions to customers. An AEO will analyze and evaluate risk to achieve business goals within an assigned book of business. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally and negotiate terms to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk, negotiate terms, and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
