The Performance and Portfolio Analytics Group is a newly created team dedicated to developing, building, and maintaining performance and portfolio analytics used in the firm's distribution, marketing, and client service materials. The Director will step into a unique leadership role, responsible for building, leading and developing this team. The team will provide key deliverables in the areas of standard time weighted performance (including GIPS compliance), automated contribution and attribution reporting, exposure reporting, risk reporting, and ESG reporting. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to collaborate cross functionally to design and implement sustainable, documented, and flexible processes, requiring a proven ability to develop strong relationships and build rapport quickly. Additionally, the Director will have a deep understanding of investment, business and technical perspectives, bring a passion for understanding investment analytics and business, data and analytics processes, and have the ability to seek out solutions that solve for business challenges through technology. This Director must possess strong leadership, communication, collaboration and project oversight skills as well as the ability to think strategically, and to build and develop a team. Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000 Specific placement within the provided range will be determined by an individual's geographic location as well as relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Associates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon Firm and individual performance. Responsibilities The candidate can expect to: Manage and lead a team of analysts in the coordination and delivery of timely and accurate performance and portfolio analytics Serve as subject matter expert in performance measurement and portfolio analytics approaches and analyses as well as perform regular and ad hoc analyses across a variety of asset classes, instrument types and comparative data sets Ensure quality and efficiency for business-facing reports and outputs Interact with Distribution and Marketing teams with respect to the capture, use, analysis and reporting of key performance and portfolio analytics data points Understand the use, configuration and general ecosystem surrounding performance and attribution analysis technology and systems including but not limited to Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet and other vended portfolio analytics systems and corresponding data sources Oversee a team coordinating, managing and supporting systematic as well as ad hoc analyses of investment portfolios Understand and stay abreast of industry evolution, collaborate with business and technology to assess impact of industry and regulatory changes Leverage service providers, peer networks and user collaboration sources to evaluate and monitor for best practices Qualifications The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data science, computer science or related field 7+ years in the asset management industry Strong knowledge of equity, fixed income and derivatives securities and investment strategies Significant previous experience with investment performance and portfolio analytics CIPM or PMAR certifications / credentials preferred, and CFA preferred Experience with attribution & risk systems such as Bloomberg PORT, Aladdin, Risk Metrics, and FactSet preferred GIPS knowledge preferred Experience in a build out of commercial reporting capabilities and process and workflow implementation Solutions orientation with the ability to innovate and build a best-in-class function and team Proven leadership ability to manage, build and lead high quality teams and individuals Superior presentation, interpersonal and relationship building skills Ability to collaborate, interact and communicate across all aspects of the firm Comfortable managing vendor and service provider relationships, with a mentality for partnership Privacy Notice for California Applicants Artisan Partners Limited Partnership is an equal opportunity employer.
