The Artist in Residence Coordinator will provide support for the educational needs of all Champions After-School Arts Activities, which take place in approximately 130 New York City Public Schools. The activities include all performing and visual art genres. The Artist in Residence Coordinator will take a lead in implementing programs that are designed to help NYE instructors better understand the experiences offered and foster use of curriculum and lessons that can be implemented on site. NYE wants to create holistic learning experiences for all students and provide enrichment opportunities to help them grow as young artists and individuals.
The Artist in Residence Coordinator will also be responsible for project alignment to the overall mission of the art department. Artist in residence will provide a wide spectrum of artistic programs on site which involve collaboration between artists, hosting organizations, institutions, or communities.
