JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director of the Elementary School, serve as an administrator with the responsibilities of executing the instructional vision and programming at Arts in Action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote the academic success and holistic growth of all students through collaborating with the elementary school director and other members of the leadership team on elementary school programming and initiatives
Help lead the curriculum design, research, coaching and accountability measures for the implementation of core curricula
Help lead the SSPT process for the elementary school in collaboration with the elementary school Director and Director of Accessible Education (Academic, Behavioral, Social-Emotional)
Handle the logistics of classroom coverage and substitute teaching needs in the event of teacher absences, teacher trainings, and teacher meetings
In conjunction with the Instructional Leadership team, help lead the planning and implementation of high quality academic intervention cycles that utilize best practices, and that are based on a comprehensive review of data, student growth, and student outcomes
Function as the testing coordinator for statewide testing, inclusive of receiving training, staying abreast of compliance requirements, scheduling, ordering of materials, training staff on test proctoring, and leading student testing initiatives for ELPAC, CAASPP, CAST, PFT
Function as the testing coordinator for schoolwide benchmark assessments (i-Ready), including mirroring best proctoring practices that are aligned to state testing, scheduling, student initiatives, data analysis and presentations, and leading professional development on data analysis, goal setting and growth accountability measures for instructional staff
Help lead School Site Council, ELAC, monthly parent meetings, and other leadership committees or initiatives as requested
Help lead school based committee work and stipended teacher work
Help plan and lead summer school and winter and spring break intervention initiatives and programming as requested
Help lead restorative justice practices and PBIS initiatives
Help lead attendance and SART initiatives
Support the elementary school director with teacher and assistant teacher professional development, coaching, observations, and other accountability measures (inclusive but not limited to evaluations)
Help lead the facilitation of parent conferences and meet with parents to communicate student's strengths and areas for improvement as requested by instructional staff
Attend professional development and continuing education workshop opportunities to continuously improve the instructional practices at Arts in Action
Help lead the scheduling and supervision logistics of morning duty, valet car pick-up and drop-off and other periods of the school day as requested
Help lead initiatives centered on communicating the educational program to the community through such activities as back to school nights, parent conferences, and family nights
Support with other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching credential in core content area (inclusive of special education and multiple subject teaching credentials)
8 plus years of teaching experience and/or school leadership experience
Obtained or currently enrolled in a Master's in Education or Educational Leadership OR administrative credential
Ability to establish/foster a positive and safe school culture
Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution
Possesses a growth mindset and a love of learning
Strong oral and written communication skills (Spanish fluency a plus!)
WAGE AND BENEFITS: The salary for this job is competitive and commensurate with experience; in addition we offer a competitive benefits package including CALSTRS participation and medical, dental, and vision options. Salary for certificated administrators is $90,000-$120,500 (depending on experience, units of education)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Arts in Action is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Transitional Kindergarten Program. Assistant Teachers support the educational program and assist their assigned teachers and students by working with individual students or small groups and serving as substitute teachers, as well as other support tasks within and outside the classroom.

WAGE AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time, 10-month hourly position for the academic year with the option of summer work. The position is intended for candidates with a BA and the ability to obtain a substitute teaching credential. The hourly starting wage for candidates with a BA and the ability to obtain a substitute teaching credential is $21.00. Pay starts at a higher rate based on experience and the number of educational units/degrees. General description
Under general supervision, determines families' eligibility for subsidized child care programs and other Early Care and Education programs offered through the Santa Barbara County Education Office. Enrolls and registers eligible children and families and provides a wide range of services and support to program participants.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Determines level of need, family income, and eligibility for subsidies; enrolls children and families into the program.
Assists families in completing enrollment applications; may complete applications or prepare other required documentation on behalf of applicants with limited literacy; reviews documentation for accuracy and contacts families to correct discrepancies.
Applies family fees according to income level, family size and other needs; all according to fee schedules established by the California departments of Social Services or Education.
Provides comprehensive support to families by making referrals to other subsidies, services, and support for which they may be eligible; serves as a family advocate.

General description
Facilitates communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, staff members, and peers within an educational environment, using a variety of manual and verbal communication systems in a highly proficient manner reflecting the affect of the speaker and/or signer. The Interpreter for Deaf/Hard of Hearing facilitates communication through the use of sign-to English and English-to-sign skills. This position requires course work, Level 4 certification, and competency using manual sign systems.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Interprets for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) in a variety of educational settings, including, but not limited to, classroom environments, assemblies, recess, noon sport leagues, and counseling sessions using various sign language systems and voice interpretation at a normal conversational rate
Interprets a wide range of curriculum, including scientific and advanced placement topics
Consults with the teachers of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing, general education staff and typical students on the effective use of an interpreter
Provides voice interpretation to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing as needed
Collaborates with IEP teams to standardize signs in an educational setting
Under the direction of the teacher of the deaf or hard of hearing, performs record keeping, monitoring IEP or special education related activities that support student learning
Provides assistance to the classroom teachers as required; assists in filing, duplicating and preparing instructional materials
Interprets and provides instruction as needed to individuals or small groups of students who are deaf or hard of hearing; reinforce instruction as directed by the teacher
Follows professional conduct guidelines to guard against the development of inappropriate personal relationships with students
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
Requirements
Education: Possession of an associate's degree in American Sign Language Interpreting, Deaf Studies, Deaf Education or related field is preferred.
Experience: At least one year of experience providing instructional support in an educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Specialized knowledge of expressive and receptive forms of sign language systems, which may include American Sign Language, Conceptually Accurate Signed English, Signed Exact English, Manually Coded English, and Pidgin Signed English

The primary goal of coaches should be the development of students to be better student athletes. The participants must be taught sportsmanship and fair play, and these teachings should always govern their behavior while at practice and at games. Improper conduct or violation of the Mission, Philosophy or Coaching Ethics and Conduct of Saint Andrew's Episcopal School may result in penalties, expulsion, or suspension from the program as described below. The coach is responsible to teach participants the importance of developing a competitive spirit and an understanding of sportsmanship.

Handle the logistics of classroom coverage and substitute teaching needs in the event of teacher absences, teacher trainings, and teacher meetings
In conjunction with the Instructional Leadership team, help lead the planning and implementation of high quality academic intervention cycles that utilize best practices, and that are based on a comprehensive review of data, student growth, and student outcomes
Function as the testing coordinator for statewide testing, inclusive of receiving training, staying abreast of compliance requirements, scheduling, ordering of materials, training staff on test proctoring, and leading student testing initiatives for ELPAC, CAASPP, CAST, PFT
Function as the testing coordinator for schoolwide benchmark assessments (i-Ready), including mirroring best proctoring practices that are aligned to state testing, scheduling, student initiatives, data analysis and presentations, and leading professional development on data analysis, goal setting and growth accountability measures for instructional staff
Help lead School Site Council, ELAC, monthly parent meetings, and other leadership committees or initiatives as requested
Help lead school based committee work and stipended teacher work
Help plan and lead summer school and winter and spring break intervention initiatives and programming as requested
Help lead restorative justice practices and PBIS initiatives
Help lead attendance and SART initiatives
Support the elementary school director with teacher and assistant teacher professional development, coaching, observations, and other accountability measures (inclusive but not limited to evaluations)
Help lead the facilitation of parent conferences and meet with parents to communicate student's strengths and areas for improvement as requested by instructional staff
Attend professional development and continuing education workshop opportunities to continuously improve the instructional practices at Arts in Action
Help lead the scheduling and supervision logistics of morning duty, valet car pick-up and drop-off and other periods of the school day as requested
Help lead initiatives centered on communicating the educational program to the community through such activities as back to school nights, parent conferences, and family nights
Support with other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching credential in core content area (inclusive of special education and multiple subject teaching credentials)
8 plus years of teaching experience and/or school leadership experience
Obtained or currently enrolled in a Master's in Education or Educational Leadership OR administrative credential
Ability to establish/foster a positive and safe school culture
Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution
Possesses a growth mindset and a love of learning
Strong oral and written communication skills (Spanish fluency a plus!)
