**The Opportunity**
+ Design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design
+ Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated solutions for complex buildings
+ Perform engineering analysis and modelling, including whole building load calculations and energy analysis, facade thermal analysis, and airflow modelling
+ Document system design in Revit MEP
+ Communicate technical ideas to a broad range of audiences using various formats, including presentations and workshops
+ Write reports documenting calculation methods and results, design assumptions, and other technical information
+ The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
+ Influence with design on sustainable outcome for our clients to align with Arup sustainability commitment
**Is this role right for you?**

The Los Angeles office is currently seeking a Telecom Design Engineer (Healthcare) to work as part of a multidisciplinary team engaged in the design and delivery of Information Technology and Communication (ITC), low-voltage systems and infrastructure for a wide variety of building types; including healthcare, arts and culture, aviation, education, retail, and science/technology.
The opportunity
* Design of systems including structured cabling, wired and wireless networks, telephony, electronic security systems, controls and general applications of technology to the built environment.
* Project delivery of detailed design drawings, systems integration, and specification development.
* Construction phase services such as site visits, submittal review, and RFIs.
* Coordinating with clients and the broader team
* Maintain quality relationships with vendors and external partners
Is this role right for you?
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related majors.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering or architectural industry demonstrating proficiency in 3D BIM software - Revit and Microsoft Office.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the consulting and technology design industries including detailed structured cabling system design.
* Understanding and experience of technology in the built environment including the challenges of construction and systems integration.
* Experience in the application of BICSI, TIA, and NEC.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for team building and client facing roles
* Excellent planning and organization skills
Preferred:
* Certifications: CNT/CCNA/CCNP, or CWNA
* Experience with active network design, RF modeling software, DAS, building automation systems, electronic security systems and IoT.
* Experience designing outside plant, campus infrastructure, and wide area network coordination.
* Experience or knowledge of specialty healthcare systems such as nurse call, wireless medical telemetry, Real-Time location, patient engagement and other systems found in healthcare facilities.
