Base skills to include expertise in domestic cold-water system, water treatment, domestic hot water systems, sanitary drainage and vent systems, storm drainage systems, pumping systems, medical gas systems, natural gas distribution systems, special fire suppression systems (gaseous, water mist), acid waste and vent systems. *This role can sit in SF or LA* **The Opportunity** - Leading plumbing engineering design on projects, particularly on major healthcare projects, including fulfillment of responsible charge responsibilities. - Delivering high-quality engineering work to achieve internal project goals (profit, etc.) - Developing/maintaining excellent client relationships. - Leading and supervising staff on a variety of projects, particularly healthcare, including decarbonization efforts. - Attending client facing and OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings. - Participating in local Professional Associations including ASPE. - Participating in project pursuits, including reviewing and preparing proposals or scoping documents. - Fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence and inclusiveness. - Coaching and assisting in skill development of individuals. Is this role right for you? - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering. - 12 years or more of proven experience designing building plumbing systems. - Professional US Engineering License or equivalent US Certified accreditation for plumbing discipline. - Experience leading project teams on medium to large scale projects. - The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and organize within our constantly evolving work environment. - Experience with 3D BIM / CAD software such AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP or at a minimum be proficient in mapping out the BIM process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint. - Familiarity with the importance of clash detection, multi-disciplinary planning and assessing the quality of a model by using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working. - Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
