Snapshot Join Google DeepMind as a Sr. AI ProductDesigner on the Gemini App team, focusing on Core Experience innovation for web & desktop. This is a unique opportunity to be at the cutting edge of AI interface experimentation, tackling ambiguous, high-impact design challenges. You'll be instrumental in inventing novel interaction patterns and rich multimodal experiences for users to get the most out of AI. Your work will push the boundaries of interface design beyond today's chat logs based on messaging apps to create tomorrow's "natively AI" interfaces.
About Us
Artificial Intelligence could be one of humanity's most useful inventions. At Google DeepMind, we're a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority.
The Role
As a Sr. AI ProductDesigner to lead our Core Experience initiatives for the Gemini App, you'll be responsible for crafting new, novel, and intuitive experiences that help users get the most value out of AI on the web & desktop. Your charter is to define "first of their kind" experiences that are striking, original, and offer unprecedented experiences with AI. When done right, your work will be embraced as simple, approachable, and beloved by users around the world.
You'll operate as a strategic partner, collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, data scientists, and marketers. Together, you'll ideate, design, and implement solutions that not only enhance the user journey but also drive engagement.
A core aspect of this role involves becoming an expert in our users' needs. This means gaining a profound understanding of diverse user behaviors, preferences, and pain points across various geographies, platforms (web, mobile, etc.), and audience segments. You'll leverage this expertise to inform your design decisions and ensure our solutions are truly user-centric.
Furthermore, you'll actively partner with design teams across the broader organization. By understanding their feature roadmaps and strategic objectives, you'll identify opportunities to deliver continuous and meaningful value to our users.
Key responsibilities:
This role requires a blend of creative problem-solving, strong leadership, and a proven ability to translate complex user needs into impactful design solutions.
+ Lead the design of innovative experiences that drive simple, fluid conversations & journeys with generative AI on web & desktop.

+ Develop a deep expertise in user needs across various geographies, platforms, and audience segments, leveraging this understanding to inform all design decisions.
+ Translate complex user insights into actionable design solutions that deliver measurable value to our customers, specifically embracing AI as a tool in your design process not just the end-product for which you are designing.
+ Elevate design craft and champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
About You
You are a pivotal and highly impactful Senior Designer, capable of independently driving major design initiatives for AI product experiences. You thrive in complex, rapidly changing environments, consistently delivering breakthrough design, learning to use emerging tools in your design process (e.g., vibe coding), and effectively aligning diverse stakeholders to achieve significant user value.
In order to set you up for success as a Senior Designer at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
+ Strategic Impact & Product Thinking: Addresses highly complex design challenges for strategic, high-impact AI product initiatives, prioritizing user goals and business strategy.

What Makes Cloudflare Special?
We're not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We're a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.
Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare's enterprise customers--at no cost.
Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.
1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here's the deal - we don't store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
Sound like something you'd like to be a part of? We'd love to hear from you!
