What this Job Entails:
The Field Technician III will provide support to all assigned locations, including data centers and Points of Presence (POPs), and physical site services. The person in this role will coordinate with network teams as well as local vendors for installation, repair and maintenance activities. The Field Technician must have deep knowledge and professional experience deploying (physical layer) rack and stack configurations. This role requires travel.

Works within guidelines and takes ownership of results. May act as a mentor to less experienced team members
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain the highest quality standards in all assigned data center locations and remote points of presence (POP).
Perform physical installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities as directed with meticulous attention to driving and maintaining the highest quality standards in the telecommunications industry.
Perform card adds or replacements, software upgrades, and associated testing.
Recommend improvements to processes that may impact the quality of our network assets or improve overall efficiencies for any related process or system.
Provide site survey support for OSP and ISP projects, as well as large space & power and/or equipment deployments.
Perform site audits and reconcile data discrepancies in coordination with Network Surveillance and other groups as necessary.
Manage local construction vendors working on behalf of the company to ensure compliance with installation, repair, maintenance MOPs and standards, as well as quality and cleanliness.
Meet/coordinate with Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) and other technicians to facilitate timely installation, repair, and maintenance activities as necessary.
Perform site surveys in support of network builds, augments, or decommissions.
Coordinate site access, equipment staging, and other tasks
Adeptly leverages knowledge and expertise

Required Qualifications/Skills:
Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 5+ years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Experience working with data center and POP infrastructure, including experience or deep understanding of OSP, ISP, interfacility cabling, fiber and copper distribution, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
Experience with installing and maintaining a wide variety of telecom/network equipment, including DWDMs, backbone and management routers, IP switches, as well as all optical and digital infrastructure.
Deep understanding of splicing, and an understanding of how to maintain and operate within a manhole, vault, or handhole environment.
Experience with telecommunications testing equipment from microscopes and source and power meters to OTDRs and experience testing across all SONET and Ethernet bandwidths.
Extensive knowledge of telecommunications testing standards and procedures from length, wire-mapping, and bit error rate to power, delay, loss, reflectance and dispersion.
Experience with state and local regulatory standards, procedures, and permitting requirements.
Ability to work effectively with local exchange carrier (LEC) and other telecom service provider technicians, building landlords, electricians, construction operators, and non-technical end users.
Ability to work independently, diagnose problems and take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, workflow and project management applications, and administrative software applications.
Experience working with a Tier-1 ITSM platform

The Technician is a heavy equipment mechanic that specializes in maintaining and repairing cranes. This position may perform routine maintenance, like lubricating parts, as well as fixing other problems when the crane malfunction. The Technician position work in a safety-first type of environment. HCSG is a 24/7 service company that requires technicians to be available on-call and provide after hour or even weekend services as required due to customer needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required.
* Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
* Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders.
* Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
* Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies.
* Maintain the ability to work with others in team environment.
* Attend company provided trainings and seminars as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is labor intensive. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis. This position requires 90% of frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and prolonged standing and sitting. It requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. The position also involves great hand and eye coordination. Heights exceeding over 50 feet from time to time are normal to incur on a daily basis to maintain a crane. Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20 50%) and must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers. This includes on-call and overtime. Travel out of town may be required at the discretion of the company.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed inside or outside (pending customer requirements) with varying degrees of extreme hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather. During summer months, temperatures can exceed 120 degrees. This position will be frequently exposed to noise, heights, fumes, dust, and odors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* 0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility
* Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
* Must always commit to working and driving safely
* Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
* Must have basic computer skills

Job Description
Perform repair and maintenance work on mechanical and electrical equipment. Analyze and recommend solutions for customer equipment problems and breakdowns. Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner and conduct all work with efficiency to contribute to the reputation, growth, and profit of Lift Power Inc. Retain the ability to work on multiple primary duties at any given time.
Serves existing and new accounts by diagnosing, servicing and repairing forklift trucks
Conducting tests and resolving problems
Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts and completing installations
Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods and techniques
Keeps personal and company equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance and calling in repairs
Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports and logs
Requirements
Knowledge of internal combustion engines (Gas, LPG and Diesel)
Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics

Key Responsibilities
Complete repairs and maintenance listed on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards
Road-test vehicles and evaluate components and systems with diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
Troubleshoot, service, and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical, and climate control
Work closely with service advisors to communicate additional repair needs and provide accurate time estimates
Perform warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum of two years' experience as an automotive service technician preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ford and/or Chrysler certification strongly preferred
Previous manufacturer-dealership experience is a plus
B-level skillset including diagnostics, electrical, and engine repair
Steady hand and strong hand-eye coordination
Solid mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service and basic computer skills
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Essential Functions
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors and other equipment at facility as required.
Lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment.
Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
Complete required daily paperwork, document parts and material usage.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
May perform as a back up to production line worker.
Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
