Able to go up and down a ladder carrying objects Maintain and repair appliances and plumbing under sinks in resident apartments Moving furniture up and downstairs when elevator is not available for use Painting common areas and resident apartments Work requires the ability to stand up to two or more hours at a time. Work requires the ability to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity. Heavy Lifting: Objects weighing 35-50 pounds lifted on a regular basis. Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, pallet jacks, forklift trucks, etc.) or team lifts. Maintains and repairs equipment and building systems, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc. Grounds keeping work, including watering lawns, keeping flower beds clean and picking up outside trash. Troubleshoots facility malfunctions and failures and helps to make necessary repairs. Performs the preventative maintenance service for equipment on a regular basis and retains service records. Report all unsafe conditions, defective equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor/Administrator. Assure that work area, tools, supplies, and equipment are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, and at end of each work day. Assists in room moves, as needed. Provides "on call" service for the facility as needed. Mixes chemicals safely and properly and understands Manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
