WHAT YOU'LL DO Ascend Learning is hiring now for a self-driven individual with experience in aligning business processes, implementing, and architecting Sales and Operations platforms, including CRM, License Management, Product Information Management and ServiceNow platforms in an integrated environment. This is an individual contributor role working with both the stakeholders and software engineers. This role is expected to interact with business stakeholders and leaders, team engineers, other development leads/architects, business/platform analysts, and QE resources. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross functional teams and collaborate with engineers to develop standard platforms across multiple business units and develop standard integration patterns. This person will also possess the ability to take leadership for key initiatives and produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business, financial and technology objectives through prototyping concepts, documentation of systems, architectures, and business process flows. This position is expected to work closely with the teams within the Enterprise Applications team, designing and overseeing the implementation of architectures related to Sales, Billing and Service systems such as CRM, ITSM, custom .NET/Angular applications, and more. In addition to the leadership and architecture responsibilities, a firm understanding of the underlying technologies is required. WHERE YOU'LL WORK This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS or Burlington, MA office location. HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, documentation, technical design, performing code reviews, providing guidance on building reusable components, and designing integrations Understand the business process; facilitate the discovery of entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules from functional experts and the user community Evaluate current environments, conduct research, recommend, and implement innovative designs that can enhance the reliability, security, productivity, and efficiency of systems Advocate for and embrace DevOps and CI/CD across the teams with a focus on scaling components and APIs horizontally, automated continuous deployment, version control, and monitoring. Be responsible for all design and governance decisions for assigned Sales and Operations platforms. Perform design reviews and manage the software development lifecycle. Act as the ultimate technical owner for any automation. Validate software design and implementation, enforce robust tests, help formulate deployment strategies and ensure software is scalable, resilient and performant. The Lead HPC Architect, Cybersecurity, High Performance Computational and Data Ecosystem, is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the cybersecurity infrastructure and technical operations of Scientific Computing's computational and data science ecosystem. This ecosystem includes a 25,000+ core and 40+ petabyte usable high-performance computing (HPC) systems, clinical research databases, and a software development infrastructure for local and national projects. The HPC system is the fastest in the world at any academic biomedical center (Top 500 list). To meet Sinai's scientific and clinical goals, the Lead brings a strategic, tactical and customer-focused vision to evolve the ecosystem to be continually more resilient, secure, scalable and productive for basic and translational biomedical research. The Lead combines deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, HPC systems, storage, networking, and software infrastructure with a strong focus on service, collaboration, and strategic planning for researchers and clinicians throughout the organization and beyond. The Lead is an expert troubleshooter, productive partner and leader of projects. The lead will work with stakeholders to make sure the HPC infrastructure is in compliance with governmental funding agency requirements and to promote efficient resource utilizations for researchers This position reports to the Director for HPC and Data Ecosystem in Scientific Computing and Data. Key Responsibilities: HPC Cybersecurity & System Administration: Design, implement, and manage all cybersecurity operations within the HPC environment, ensuring alignment with industry standards (NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA, CMMC, NYC Cyber Command, etc.).
