Previously, he served as CFO, chief sales officer at Jindal Texas Works and COO at Network International. He also founded Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

Gustavo Nechar is a VP/Chief Human Resources Ofcr at ASCEND PERFORMANCE MATERIALS and VP:Human Resources at Dresser-Rand. He works or has worked at Meritor Wabco Vehicle Control. Gustavo attended Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas.

Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer with extensive leadership experience in Fortune 10 and Start-up companies in building successful organizations with a focus on providing total solutions to clients in the plastics and polymer industry. Expertise in plastics resin technology, manufacturing, 6-sigma , marketing, application development, and business development.

Led successful commercialization of the first environmentally sustainable thermoplastic resins at GE Plastics (now SABIC Innovative Plastics).

Successfully led INVISTA's entry into the Engineering Polymers market, and built key enabling capabilities . Also, led concept development and commercialization of RAPTOR Nylon Pipe, a monolithic PA66 pipe, first of its kind in the market place.

Currently, leading the overall Ascend Technology organization for Ascend Performance Materials spanning Chemical Intermediates (AN, ADN, HMD, AA), Nylon Polymer, Engineering Plastics, and Fibers. Functions include Product and Application Development, Process Technology, Process Engineering, Production Engineering, and Quality Assurance.

Vast experience in building successful teams which have delivered business growth and productivity via product, application, and process innovation, and new product launches. Significant experience in developing go-to-market strategies for diverse market segments using scientific approach based on hypothesis testing and real life experimentation to test value propositions. Hands on experience in low cost Capacity expansion using innovative debottlenecking strategies, resolving manufacturing, supply chain, and yield issues.
