    We are seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to play a key role in managing budgets for programs funded through the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) this individual will be responsible for the full budget lifecycle- from creation to close-out. Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and monitor annual program budgets across multiple DHS-funded sites. Prepare detailed line-item budgets and justifications in accordance with DHS and City guidelines. Provide budgetary analysis and recommendations to support leadership in strategic and operational decisions. Track spending, analyze variances, and prepare budget modifications as needed. Oversee budget submissions, renewals, and close-outs in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain up-to-date records in the financial system and ensure proper version of all budget documents. Serve as the primary liaison between the Finance Department, Program Management, and DHS representatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Nonprofit experience is required. 3+ years of experience in budgeting, accounting, or financial analysis- preferably within NYC DHS or other City-funded programs. Strong understanding of government contracts, fiscal management, and budget compliance. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify issues.
