Responsibilities
Ascension St Agnes offers CRNAs an environment to practice throughout the full range of the perioperative arena covering a wide variety of cases. CRNAs practice with a high-level of autonomy in a supervision and collaborative team environment. It is expected for the CRNA to place CVCs, arterial lines, US guided peripheral nerve blocks, epidurals/spinals, etc. on their assigned cases. If no recent experience with different procedures, we will assist with training and mentorship until the CRNA feels comfortable. A variety of shifts are offered under a flexible staffing system that caters to a positive worklife balance. There are SRNAs from three local programs providing preceptorship opportunities. Currently, we are expanding in surgical volume and anesthesia responsibilities creating an opening for more CRNAs.
Responsibilities:
* Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
* Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
* Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
* Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.

**Responsibilities**
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist prior to receiving
certification.
+ Refill and maintain automated dispensing system.
+ Prepare order and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
+ Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
+ Repackage bulk medications.
+ Receive and store incoming supplies.
+ Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information byproviding information.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
**Additional Preferences**
+ **1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting**
+ **1 year of IV compounding experience required**
+ **Strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, drug classifications, and medical terminology**
+ **Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices** **Knowledge of medication compounding procedures and aseptic techniques**
+ **Familiarity with drug interactions, contraindications, and side effects**
+ **Skilled in measuring, packaging, and labeling medications accurately**
+ **Strong communication skills for daily interaction with other healthcare professionals and colleagues**
+ **Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment**
+ **Knowledge of patient privacy laws and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially**
