Responsibilities:
* Develop a strong understanding of benefit plan operations across a variety of clients and designs
* Apply analytical skills to prepare and review individual benefit calculations

* Ability to successfully complete and support the work outlined for the Compliance Associate roles
* Reads and comprehends retirement plan provisions from plan documents, summaries of plan provisions, and related plan materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Understands, considers and applies legislation and regulations, including but not limited to IRS, DOL, and ERISA, when preparing, analyzing and interpreting information
* Supports DOL, IRS, and Large plan audits

* Is responsible for plan administration, compliance and testing for identified blocks of business
* Tracks and monitors job progress to ensure that all necessary data is requested and received in order to meet compliance deadlines
* Prepares annual valuation and compliance reports for Clients
* Provides detailed consultations with Plan Consultant in drafting plan documents, plan amendments, and other legal documents

Section 1: Position Summary
The Distributions Associate will support the Loans and Distributions team to provide timely and accurate processing of distributions/loans. Will work closely with internal and external clients to ensure that transactions are processed in a timely manner and exceptions are resolved as quickly as possible.

* Timely and accurate processing of assigned disbursements (loans, terminations, hardships, etc.)
* Assist with reconciliation of 1099R records by researching and resolving discrepancies on payouts including applicable state and federal tax withholding, fees, etc.
* Partner with various trust companies, recordkeepers and internal departments to ensure participant checks are mailed timely. Also ensure all trust excesses are identified and invested or resolved timely.

* Timely and accurate reinvestment of un-cashed and/or voided distribution checks.

This position will partner with the Relationship Managers (RMs) to support the commercial sales strategy, interface directly with clients and lines of business partners, and serve as a key contributor to the structure of commercial business.
As part of this role you will:
1. Prepare and provide analytics in support to the commercial sales team.
Interface with client, gather credit and financial information.
Pre-screen and analyze pertinent financial data and Commercial Decision Summary underwriting data.

Responsible for managing the overall onboarding process, client and advisor expectations and meeting service timelines for newly sold retirement plans (both start-up and takeovers of existing plans) to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for clients. Also responsible for quality control and assurance for plan conversions, account transition and ensuring all responsibilities and tasks are performed in accordance with FuturePlan's core values and best practices.

Manages case load effectively to meet or exceed departmental service goals specific service levels for quality and timeliness with limited supervision.
Provides clear communication regarding the roles of each individual involved in the onboarding process.

Consistently updates workflow system or status report to keep all parties informed of onboarding activities and progress.
Provides training and assistance to clients to ensure completion of the client tasks and issue resolution.
Ensures internal department's completion of tasks by the scheduled due date.
Provides input to Management on client issues and onboarding delays. Proactively escalates potential risks to appropriate leadership staff that impact either service satisfaction and/or financial liability.
Participates, as required, in solution teams to ensure onboarding processes are defined and incorporated for new and enhanced services.
Provide guidance to clients and financial advisors to fully inform and educate then on on-going administrative services provided by FuturePlan.
Provide hand-off to the appropriate service consultant to ensure a smooth transition for the client and financial advisor including identifying all open issues.
Provides accurate qualified plan information and education to financial partners, financial professionals and clients by attending Ascensus training sessions and continuing self-study.
Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by FuturePlan to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to FuturePlan or our clients.

Ensure enterprise report delivery works reliably for the business including, but not limited to, reporting systems troubleshooting and supporting report and information delivery.
Operate in alignment with reporting development lifecycle strategy and business intelligence governance framework.
Ensure documentation of BI processes is consistently maintained according to best practices.
Collaborate with data governance analysts and data stewards to ensure data dictionary is appropriately updated to reflect changes resulting from projects and tickets completed including, but not limited to, data flow, business logic and metadata.
Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Application Management to support alignment of Business Intelligence and Data Governance processes and objectives.
