What You'll Do
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Manager, Pricing to lead the development of pricing strategies, cost models, and profitability frameworks that support Ascent's growth across all service lines. This role will be a critical member of Ascent's growth engine and will work closely with Ascent's VP of Solution Engineering, Chief Financial Officer, Sales and Operations to ensure new business proposals are both competitive and financially sound.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen and experience monetizing logistics solutions with deep financial modeling expertise and has a proven ability to design and scale pricing governance across a dynamic logistics organization.
Lead the development and execution of Ascent's enterprise pricing strategy across all logistics service offerings
Build and manage standardized cost models to evaluate new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with target margin profiles and service-level commitments
Partner with the VP of Solution Engineering to translate proposed customer solutions into accurate pricing and cost structures
Support Sales and Finance leadership during RFP/RFQ processes by producing timely, data-driven pricing analyses and recommendations
Develop governance frameworks for pricing approvals, deal reviews, and ongoing margin monitoring
Establish and maintain tools, templates, and dashboards to enhance visibility into pricing performance and profitability trends
Collaborate with IT and Data teams to improve pricing data accuracy, automation, and analytics capabilities
Provide executive-level insights on pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and customer profitability
Build and lead a high-performing pricing team, including analysts and cost modelers, as the function scales
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 7 years of experience in pricing strategy, financial modeling, or cost analysis within logistics, transportation or supply chain industries
Experience leading pricing strategy or analytics teams that support enterprise-level commercial pursuits (e.g., RFP/RFQ responses, new business proposals)
Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing pricing governance and approval processes
Experience implementing or leveraging pricing tools (e.g., PROS, Vendavo, Power BI dashboards, or internal Excel/SQL-based models)
Prior exposure to solution design or engineering processes is highly valuable
