Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor schedules, coordinates, and supervises the maintenance crew, preventive/predictive maintenance, and mechanical repair activities.
What you'll be contributing:
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Provides technical assistance in the safe use of tools and equipment, training new and current employees on proper procedures, techniques, and safety precautions.
Schedules and coordinates daily preventive/predictive maintenance and mechanical repair activities and projects.
Inspects job sites before beginning maintenance projects to identify hazards and ensure a safe work environment.
Operates computerized preventive maintenance and repairs system to prepare work orders, document work activities, and maintain all records.
Assesses and gives performance feedback to the maintenance crew.
Maintains records of attendance and paid time off.
Analyzes and writes job procedures for new jobs and modifies procedures for existing jobs
Estimates time and parts required to complete projects and repairs.
Collaborates with Purchasing Agent to ensure adequate supplies are ordered or in stock for projects.
Assists in contacting vendors and obtaining contractors regarding maintenance needs
Attends and regularly conducts safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Coordinate and supervises the work of contractors for specified maintenance activities
Assists in preparing the budget for capital expenditures planned for maintenance projects and repairs
Participates in the monthly conference calls with Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
High School Diploma or GED is required
2 year/Associates Degree in a related area is preferred
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or maintenance experience in engineering, or facility management in a similar position in related field.
A combination of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a diploma/degree.
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of maintenance and repair required for plant equipment and structures
Demonstrates project management skills
Ability to uses independent judgment
Ability to make decisions, plan, organize, and problem solve
Ability to operate a personal computer

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial safety, environmental science, or related technical field required.
At least five years of exempt-level environmental health and safety experience in an industrial setting is required. Safety Knowledge on Hydrogen and Acetylene Systems preferred.
Solid knowledge of OSHA standards (Safe Work Permits, Energy Control, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, and process safety management etc.), root cause analysis and incident investigation.

Under the direction of the Program Director and Program Department Managers, our Seasonal Program Staff play a vital role in the success of Morgan's Camp ("MC"). This position will focus on the implementation of high-quality programming operations that help create meaningful and lasting experiences for our campers, guests, staff, and volunteers. As a member of the program team, this role is responsible for ensuring our camp program reflects and furthers the mission and values of Morgan's Camp. As a Ranch and Nature Specialist you will be expected to work in all activity areas but will receive more specific training in facilitation of the Spur Ranch and Stockyard and will have preference when it comes to daily activity assignments.
Spur Ranch at Morgan's Camp offers individuals of all ages and abilities the opportunity to take part in equine and nature experiences. These experiences include arena riding, trail riding, horse grooming, and classroom style learning. The ranch staff provide campers with a greater set of skills and assistance to make their ride more successful. This includes, but is not limited to, horse leading, rider side walking, tack adaptations, assisted mounting and dismounting, etc.
The Stockyards is where campers go for interactive educational experiences. Nature staff will help create safe environments for both guests and animals to interact and for campers to learn about many of the native, and a few non-native, species we see in Texas. Staff will be expected to teach about, handle, and care for the various non-equine animals we who call Morgan's Wonderland Camp home. Welder I - Day shift - $22.00/hour - 6:00am-2:00pm Monday thru Friday

Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Welder I to be based out of Houston, TX. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Welder I will be responsible for welding various cable tray products. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What you'll do:
Welder I's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
Perform setup, adjustments and operation of welding machines within the department
Ability to use basic fabricating tools (i.e. tape measure)
Interpret drawings and fabricate based off blueprints
Fabricate per customer requirements adhering to specifications
Actively participate in Atkore's safety program
Cross train in different areas of the shop as required
Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

What you'll bring:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
Technical School Welding Certificate (preferred)
6+ months welding experience
Ability to work scheduled hours Monday-Friday
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the plant environment can be loud. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. The manufacturing plant is not climate controlled. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protectors, hi-visibility uniforms, and metatarsal steel-toed work boots.
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete any required training
Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
