Required Education & Experience:

The Global Safety & Environment Intern will provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to local site business partners related to compliance programs (i.e. General Occupational Safety, High-Risk Work, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics/Human Factors).
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelors/ Master's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology or another technical program.
Completed at least 2 years of college course work
Able to work full time for a period of 9-12 weeks
Critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills
Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions
Preferred qualifications:
Prior internship or work experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field or in chemical manufacturing.
Course work and/or experience in Ergonomics (assessing risk and implementing controls).
Ability to convey ideas and explain decisions in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work in a small team

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, monitor, and maintain on-premises SQL Servers, Azure SQL Databases, and Azure SQL and SQL Managed Instances
• Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations between platforms
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery planning for all SQL environments
• Monitor database performance and health, implementing tuning and optimization strategies

• Implement and maintain security policies, including user access, roles, and permissions

• Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and database automation scripting
• Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, HA/DR solutions, and performance tuning
• Experience with database monitoring tools and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with cloud networking, security, and compliance standards in Azure
• Experience with database migration tools (Azure Database Migration Service, Data Migration Assistant)
