The Student Surgical Technologist Intern provides direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. They communicate with the surgical staff about instrumentation, surgical procedures, and sterility. The student surgical technologist intern is able to scrub alongside a certified surgical technologist. This experience is intended for students who will graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program within the next academic year. The Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) responsibilities and Code of Ethics provide a basis for practice.
Summer ST Experience (June 1 - August 7, 2026)

Objectives:
Apply the principles of aseptic technique while in the sterile role.
Further develop the practical skills required to work as a competent surgical technologist in the perioperative environment.
Attain the professional skills of interpersonal communication with all patients and interdisciplinary health care team members.

Qualifications:
Student must be in good standing in a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program, having completed a minimum of one-semester of surgical technology program curriculum. Student must possess basic knowledge and hands-on skills related to aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for various surgical procedures. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and must not expire during internship.
Candidates must be able to work from June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong preference for at least 100 clinical hours by internship start date. Adapts to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting. Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people in a direct, empathetic, and articulate manner. Comprehensive understanding of surgical processes and procedures preferred.

The Tax Credit Specialist has primary responsibility for leasing, marketing and all related property management functions to maintain compliance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program regulations at assigned LSS owned or managed LIHTC projects. Essential Duties and responsibilities:

Conducts apartment inspections per identified program expectations.
Has responsibility for on call/after hour's communications regarding facility and or resident issues. Responds appropriately or dispatches to maintenance all emergency calls within prescribed timelines.
Conducts and or arranges for all required facility testing including but not limited to fire extinguisher testing, elevator testing, sprinkler system testing, smoke detector testing and battery replacement, and fire inspections.

Serves as a representative of the agency and the properties/programs to internal and external customers. Establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with stakeholders.

The position will be responsible for multiple properties including 40 units at scattered sites throughout the metro Milwaukee and assisting with an additional 67 scattered units. The Tax Credit Specialist has primary responsibility for leasing, marketing and all related property management functions to maintain compliance with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program regulations at assigned LSS owned or managed LIHTC projects. This is a highly independent role and requires the property manager to be onsite daily.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:

Assumes primary and direct responsibility for managing tenant and stakeholder issues and concerns related to the property, tenant relations, marketing, etc. Works independently and with supervisory staff to address concerns in a consistent and timely manner. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Family Support Specialist / Family Resource Specialist
This is a dual role. The Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular and long-term (up to five years) contact/support with families. This activity will occur primarily within the family's home; each visit should last for at least one hour. Virtual visits may take place as needed. The interventions should be family-centered, strength-based, and directed at establishing trusting relationships; strengthening the parent-child relationship; promoting healthy childhood growth and development; and enhancing family well-being by reducing risk and building protective factors. The Family Resource Specialist (FRS) is responsible for the FROG scale which is a family-centered tool used to identify the presence of both protective factors that promote resilience and factors associated with increased risk of child maltreatment or other adverse childhood experiences. Daily attendance is an essential function of this position. This position is located in our Odanah, Wisconsin office.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Ā· Partners with families and honors diverse family structures and parenting practices.
Ā· Supervision weekly with supervisor for at least 1.5 hours to support, guide and build on the strengths of the families we serve.
Ā· Activities include but are not limited to; administer screening tools such as ASQ, ASQ-SE, Depression screening, etc.
Ā· Identify and refer families for other supportive services, including health care services.
Ā· Responsible for assisting families in establishing goals and supporting them throughout the process.
Ā· Responsible for implementing activities outlined in the Family Service Plan to address the areas of concern that were identified on the FROG scale.
Ā· Collaborate as a team with agency meetings, parent groups and activities.
Ā· Responsible for completed the validated Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth (FROG) scale with families to identify family strengths and areas to address at the start of services with parents.
Ā· Responsible for administering the FROG scale objectively and reliably, and in a relationship-building, conversation style.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Ā· Attend training sessions and meetings as scheduled with HFA standards to stay current. Intensive training within the first year with travel is required.
Ā· Engage in networking to remain current on the availability of health and human services available to Native American, ensuring all services are delivered in a culturally competent manner.
Ā· Attend all required meetings, training courses, events as deemed appropriate by your supervisor.
Ā· Create and maintain family group activities, parenting groups for the program.
Ā· Understand crisis intervention and the protective factors to support the families we serve.
Ā· Be able to effectively offer referral to the appropriate community-based agencies, depending on the family's needs.
Ā· Effective time management and strong organizational skills.
Ā· Perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Working Relationships and Scope:
Reports directly to FFHV Manager/Supervisor. Daily contact with team and supervisor. Frequent contact with staff and families. Limited contact with outside vendors and the public. Ongoing contact with federal and state agencies to remain current on various issues.

The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the surgeon. The Surgical Technologist functions primarily in the scrub role and is responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. The Surgical Technologist possesses knowledge in the application of sterile and aseptic technique and is able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting.
