Minimum Qualifications

Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and final mile delivery requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and travel frequently (approximately 75% travel required).
Proficiency with recruiting platforms (Tenstreet experience preferred).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Assist with safety representation in local safety legal matters.
Participate in the recognition of safety award recipients and demonstrations of positive recognition for safe behavior.
Establish trust and credibility by maintaining a high level of integrity and communications with terminal operations teams.
Travel to multiple site locations approximately 50-75% of the time.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or education and experience working in an LTL operations environment.
Three (3) years or more field experience with safety as a primary responsibility.
Strong communication skills to receive and convey information effectively: oral and written comprehension and expression.
High level of motivation, ability to efficiently work with little supervision, effective multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, and ability to positively influence others.
Professional credentials and certification a plus, such as OSHA 10 / 30, NATMI - CSS, CDS; BCSP - STS, ASP, CSP; Smith System Certification (Preferred).

Uses scales and dimensioning machines to inspect freight
Uses scanning technology to track every movement of every shipment; maintains an accurate count of pallets in each shipment
Attaches identifying tags or labels to freight or marks information on cases, pallets and other shipment packaging, as required
Reports damaged and missing freight to supervisor
Cleans work area, trailers, containers and forklifts
Participates in team efforts to achieve department and company goals
