The Engineering Technician III will be a member of the Engineering group, supporting engineering activities and new product development. The Engineering Technician III will assist with assembly, testing and debugging of sophisticated first-of-a-kind processing modules for semiconductor processing. This position requires working closely with hardware and software engineers to evaluate and improve the hardware. This position will require an individual with excellent electro-mechanical skills, a level of detail that insures accuracy of work content, and the ability to multitask as task priorities change.
Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions:
* Assemble complex systems and equipment
* Assist in documenting performance of first-of-kind processing modules
* Assists engineers in development of testing techniques to determine performance and life cycle metrics
* Assist in reviewing and validating designs per the direction of design engineering
* Execute test plans, collecting critical data and comparing to metrics
* Investigate reliability issues
* Assist with equipment maintenance
* Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
* Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience is required
* 6 or more years' experience with capital equipment and complex electromechanical systems
Qualifications and Skills:
* Prior experience working with semiconductor equipment is highly preferred
* SolidWorks experience is a plus
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics (Assembly drawings, fabricated parts drawings, P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics etc.)
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team consisting of engineers, manufacturing and process engineering personnel
* Proficient in MS Office, especially with Excel for data collection, analysis and report generation.
Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment, in cleanrooms, and in customer factories around electro-mechanical equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Job duties may be performed in a clean room environment. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, etc. Regular airline/overnight travel is required.
Expected Hours of work:
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or as assigned by supervisor. This position occasionally requires long hours or weekend work, including overnight stays due to travel.

The Logistics Specialist II plays a critical role in ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods into the United States, with primary responsibility for US Customs clearance oversight. This includes monitoring inbound shipments, coordinating with carriers, brokers, and internal teams, and maintaining accurate data for tracking and reporting. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel to manage customs processes efficiently. Secondary responsibilities include supporting freight and warehouse operations within ASM America's Global Spares Logistics organization.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus (80-85%) - US Customs Clearance Oversight
Monitor and track all inbound shipments pending US Customs clearance; proactively obtain status updates from carriers and brokers
Maintain accurate and timely data for shipment tracking and customs processing in SAP and related tools
Coordinate with Purchasing, Supplier Managers, and other stakeholders to collect required documentation (e.g., certificates, compliance data) for customs release
Provide necessary inputs to customs brokers to facilitate clearance and resolve any compliance issues
Respond promptly to inquiries and escalations related to customs status; ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and delays
Generate and analyze reports, KPIs, and statistics related to customs clearance performance; identify trends and improvement opportunities
Ensure adherence to US Customs regulations and company compliance standards
Secondary Focus (15-20%) - General Logistics Support
Assist with freight and warehouse operations, including shipment coordination and issue resolution
Support inventory integrity through SAP transactions and cycle counts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and address operational bottlenecks
Qualifications
5+ years in Logistics, Customs Compliance, or Supply Chain Management, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech industries
Strong knowledge of US Customs regulations and import processes
Advanced proficiency in SAP and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power Query, VBA)
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency
Experience working with carriers, brokers, and 3PL providers
Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CCS, CES) a plus
Proven ability to communicate effectively across teams and drive timely resolution of issues
