We are currently hiring for a full time Maintenance Mechanic within the Facilities department here at Aspen Valley Health.
Work Shift:
Days - 8 Hour
Compensation Range:
$26.03 - $41.65 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $2.25 per hour!
The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years work experience in a technical field or facility maintenance preferred.
Strong aptitude for reading and interpreting information from manuals and drawings preferred.
Previous hospital experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Essential Functions:
Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, according to Angio lab policies and procedures and Scope of Practice documents.
Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.
Develops specific knowledge about invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, appropriate indications and applications, and proper use and deployment techniques.
Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining necessary consents, maintaining applicable QC (Quality Control) programs, and reporting any equipment failures or problems.
Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and address patient and/or family concerns.
Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents.
Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
At the end of the procedure, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
Performs advanced interventional procedures including ablation procedures, stents, thrombectomy, embolization.
Orient new angio staff, provide teaching, coaching, mentoring and provide direct supervision as a defined preceptor.
Proctors other staff including specialized equipment and procedural techniques.

Plumbing- Performs all service and repair work to the level of experience achieved. Performs or assist Plant Engineers with maintenance and instillation of piping, plumbing fixtures, pressure testing, frozen pipes, gas lines and appliances, valves, pumps, coils and boiler equipment.
Assist with operation and maintenance of steam plant, steam traps, steam leaks, sight glasses, etc. Participates in maintaining safe operation of the water treatment program.
HVAC- Performs all service and repair work to the level of experience achieved. Performs or assist Plan Engineers with maintenance or installation of HVAC systems throughout the Hospital, inspecting and operating building automation; heating systems, refrigeration equipment, coolers, freezers, ice machines and thermostatic controls as needed.
Enters and completes work orders and p.m.'s in a timely manner, reporting back to Manager when situations arise that they can't be completed on time. Ensures that all documentation required by Local, State and Federal agencies is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Functions as hospital security when security is not present, by responding to pages for assistance. The group acts as a deterrent by show of force to individuals acting inappropriately. Also may assist with moving furniture, offices, trash and bio-hazard removal as well as making deliveries or picking up items as required.
May be assigned to different shifts temporarily when staffing shortages or hospital emergencies dictate requirements. Will participate in the “Maintenance on Call” program and work holidays as assigned.
Is an active member in the Hospitals “snow removal plan” including shoveling snow, sanding/salting ice areas and operating snow removal equipment as needed.
General- Maintain established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, environmental and infection control, safety, and comply with codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies; promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellow employees, patients and visitors. Assist with operation and maintenance of steam plant, steam traps, steam leaks, sight glasses, etc. Participates in maintaining safe operation of the water treatment program.
HVAC- Performs all service and repair work to the level of experience achieved. Performs or assist Plan Engineers with maintenance or installation of HVAC systems throughout the Hospital, inspecting and operating building automation; heating systems, refrigeration equipment, coolers, freezers, ice machines and thermostatic controls as needed.
Enters and completes work orders and p.m.'s in a timely manner, reporting back to Manager when situations arise that they can't be completed on time. Ensures that all documentation required by Local, State and Federal agencies is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Functions as hospital security when security is not present, by responding to pages for assistance. The group acts as a deterrent by show of force to individuals acting inappropriately. Also may assist with moving furniture, offices, trash and bio-hazard removal as well as making deliveries or picking up items as required.
May be assigned to different shifts temporarily when staffing shortages or hospital emergencies dictate requirements. Will participate in the “Maintenance on Call” program and work holidays as assigned.
Is an active member in the Hospitals “snow removal plan” including shoveling snow, sanding/salting ice areas and operating snow removal equipment as needed.
General- Maintain established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, environmental and infection control, safety, and comply with codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies; promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellow employees, patients and visitors.
