Assist certified teachers, by grade level, with implementing blended learning tutorials aligned with the school day curriculum. Teachers lead small group tutorials in reading, writing, and math. Enrichment Counselors assist students with independent skill practice on computers and small group skill practice at activity centers.
Homework Help:
Create a quiet, productive environment for students to complete homework and independent reading. Assist students as needed with academics and any technological challenges that may arise.
Enrichment Activities:
Ratios vary. Write, plan, and implement enrichment lessons based on student choice and school day needs. Examples include: cooking club, gardening club, service learning projects, and STEM activities. Enrichment Counselors, on their own, may be responsible for leading a group of no more than 20 children in an enrichment activity. Enrichment Counselors may work in teams to plan and lead activities.

Direct and manage the overall dance program for the assigned school by providing students with an opportunity to participate in curricular and extracurricular dance activities in accordance with all state, Texas Dance Educators' Association (TDEA), and Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Dance from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements

Major Responsibilities and Duties
Programming:
Develop an annual calendar of student performance opportunities and events including football game performances, dance shows and contests, Dance Educators Assessment of Learning (DEAL) evaluations, and other events.
Maintain eligibility records of students as they pertain to UIL and extracurricular activities.
Prepare students for participation in TDEA's DEAL evaluation.
Manage all personnel associated with the dance program.
Provide opportunities for student participation in extracurricular events.
Arrange transportation, lodging, and meals for out-of-town events.
Comply with federal and state laws, TEA rules and UIL rules and regulations, and Frisco ISD Board and Fine Arts Department policies.
Follow Frisco ISD policies regarding the oversight of booster organizations (where applicable).
Collaborate with directors across the District.
Ensure program adherence to the Frisco ISD Dance Team Code of Conduct.
Teaching and Learning:
Develop and implement lesson plans for dance class periods and provide written lesson plans as required.
Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for individual student differences.
Present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, Board policies, and administrative regulations.
Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
Student Growth and Development:
Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of all students.
Maintain educational records demonstrating student mastery and growth in curricular content.
Apply and enforce student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
