ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Excellent College-Preparatory Instruction to all Scholars
Develop and maintain a positive, achievement-oriented, supportive, and collaborative culture of high expectations that motivates and inspires scholars to learn at college-preparatory levels.
Effectively execute assigned curriculum and just-in-time support to reach every scholar, regardless of prior academic background, disability, or English language fluency.
Engage in the process of internalizing assigned curriculum, tied to specific grade level and content standards, in teacher teams and individually to prepare daily lesson plans, instructional materials, and exit tickets that are aligned to rigorous college-ready standards (e.g., Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, etc.).
Welcome and incorporate feedback from the coaching, guidance, and feedback provided by school leaders, peer coaches, and content support managers.
Uphold Alliance Values and Standards of Excellence
Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset to provide scholars opportunities aligned to Alliance's Graduate Profile.

Aspiring teachers can obtain a teaching credential in just one year through the Marshall Teacher Residency program. One of the most comprehensive residencies for aspiring teachers in the nation, Marshall provides a pathway to Single and Multiple Subject Teaching, as well as Education Specialist instruction. OPPORTUNITY
The Adelante Teacher Fellowship pathway is designed for those eager to start teaching full-time while earning their preliminary teaching credential. As an Adelante teacher, you will:
> Begin as a full-time educator (start date July 2025 with teaching beginning in August 2025)
> Earn your preliminary credential and master's degree through an accelerated program in partnership with Loyola Marymount University (LMU)
> Start with two online courses in summer and complete the remaining coursework while teaching full-time at a Green Dot school (school site placement will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process)
> Receive support including twice-weekly professional development, regular classroom observations, and personalized coaching
Program Overview:
> Earn an intern credential, preliminary credential, and master's degree within 15 months from Loyola Marymount University (summer coursework begins with two online courses)
> Full-time teaching and remaining coursework follow during the school year
Qualifications:
> Bachelor's degree (must be conferred before Summer 2025)
> Meet CA Subject Matter Competency or CSET requirements
> Possess a strong belief in all students' potential
> Possess high levels of empathy, compassion, planning, and organizational skills
> Be humble, able to navigate stress, be self-aware, and open to feedback
> Will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer
Exams to be completed before June 1, 2025:
> All CSET exams in your chosen content area or verification of a Subject Matter Waiver
> U.S. Constitution Exam (waived if you attended a California State University)
Compensation:
> Annual starting salary: $62,316

Teach with Purpose: Our teachers play a key role in bringing to life the academic and cultural visions of our schools. This includes daily lesson planning, intentional curriculum design, and regular data analysis to help all students learn and grow. Daily lesson planning and long term planning using curriculum and resources to align with KIPP's academic vision and goals.
Analyze data regularly to identify student academic trends and inform instructional practices.
Maintain a positive, warm, inclusive, rigorous, and engaging classroom environment that incorporates Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.
Implement culturally responsive classroom management strategies to create a safe environment for all students to learn & achieve.
Communicate regularly with staff, students, families, and other key stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships.
Attend and engage in weekly Professional Development and other Communities of Practice to continue learning and growing as an educator.
Update student records regularly, including attendance, grades, behavior data, etc.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands Physical: Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs.
