Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT scans. The CT Technologist will have an above average knowledge of CT equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values. HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. PM/Night shifts with holiday rotation, Mon-Thurs with weekends only as needed Experience/Qualifications * Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an associate degree in Radiography, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements. * Additional courses with computer skill credits in cross-sectional anatomy and/or credits in computer technology are beneficial. * A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging beneficial to enhance and develop skills. * Previous experience in CT scanning and cross-sectional anatomy beneficial. * ARRT (R) * ARRT (CT) * State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license (WI Locations only) * Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy). * Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images. If Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is not current at time of hire, it must be obtained within two years of hire or by 7/1/2022 if hired prior to 6/30/2019. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. For positions treating patients in intensive care units (ICU): Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications awarded by the American Heart Association within one year of hire.
