Join our Laboratory team and help deliver high-quality diagnostic testing that supports exceptional patient care. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), you will perform complex chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures. This role requires critical thinking, technical accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a high-complexity CLIA-certified lab.
* Conduct diagnostic testing and interpret results across multiple disciplines
* Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards
* Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely patient diagnosis and care decisions
* Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning
HOURS: 1.0 FTE/80 hours every two weeks working Monday-Thursday, 9pm-7am
Experience/Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required
* Previous lab experience preferred but not required
* Must possess or obtain within 12 months of hire one of the following certifications:
* MT-ASCP,MLS-ASCP, or equivalent
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (can be obtained upon hire)
* Must meet CLIA '88 requirements for high-complexity testing
* Annual competencies required per Aspirus and applicable regulations

We are seeking a Lab Assistant to:
Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages and ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.
Complete specimen receiving and processing, load them onto instruments or perform the kit testing, and associated instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing).
Patient check-in and order entry of laboratory tests in the laboratory information system.
Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Completion of accredited Phlebotomy Training program and clinical rotation.
Work Experience
6 months of Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing Experience Required
1 year of experience in phlebotomy and processing Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
Phlebotomist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred

Work Schedule:
60% FTE, day shift. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday each week with start times ranging from 7:45AM - 8:30AM. This position will work across many satellite lab locations and will be required to cover sick calls. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
