**Overview:**

The Terminal technicians provide 24/7 shift coverage to perform O&M of the SATCOM terminals and associated baseband equipment. The terminal technicians are also responsible for additional duties, facilities, power, and other tasks as needed by company/contract leadership. The Milsatcom Technician will:
+ Provides Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for SATCOM terminals and related equipment. Performs equipment status monitoring and operation.
+ Coordinates and responds to messages from interfacing organizations such as tech control, DISA, and network control centers.
+ Troubleshoot links, trunks and circuits.
+ Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Troubleshoots equipment problems and performs corrective maintenance.
+ Supports equipment upgrades.
+ Performs work center quality inspections.
+ Performs work center additional duties and logistics activities to include forward supply point, bench stock inventory and ordering.
+ Performs training and maintains training records.
+ Supports other contract functional areas as required
**Responsibilities:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Must work towards completion of SATCOM/communications/systems operations and/or maintenance course or gaining equivalent experience on site.
+ Must be able to work shift
+ Requires an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
**Education/Experience:**
+ Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree technical career field
+ **Must have a current DoD 8570 certification (Security+)**

+ Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, annual self-inspection, follow-on facility reviews, and facility close-outs.
+ Conduct exploration of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified SAP information.
+ Coordinate with government security personnel to ensure lessons-learned are incorporated into the curriculum for the SAP security education & awareness program.
+ Provide day-to-day security administration to include, but not limited to: VARs, escort duties, document and media control, COMSEC account maintenance, document classification reviews, and security classification guidance.
+ Assist in managing the annual inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**
