This team will support systems development, systems engineering integration and testing for the ground segment of national security space systems. This position for a Space Operations Center (SOC) Manager on a large multi-year contract must develop, field and operate a contractor operations floor with USSF partner oversight. In coordination with Government leadership you effectively plan, organize and execute all talent acquisition, training and certification activities that establish a contractor operations center which hosts multiple mission partner companies performing 24/7 operations. The ideal candidate has space operations floor experience, foundational systems engineering and program management leadership, plus mission area knowledge. Role Responsibilities\: Serve under the Operations Division Manager as the lead for all operations floor team management and contract execution matters. Develop the Contractor Operator training and certification program in fulfilment of all contract obligations and satisfaction of USSF mission partner. Collaborate with customers to refine and implement the ground segment of the Concepts of Operations, refining requirements, and providing technical and programmatic oversight throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with mission objectives and timelines. Collaborate with associate contractors who develop their own certified contractor operators executing space segment operations on the shared SOC floor. Communicate clearly and effectively with program management to identify and manage risks, appropriately elevating issues and concerns in a timely manner. Participate with broader SEIT processes and systems developers to ensure continuous system improvements are deployed into operations when mature and non-degrading to existing operational mission capabilities. Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance. Experience with the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community satellite/payload and ground system architectures. Bachelors and 14 years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 12 years of relevant experience. Superb technical skills and experience related to ground systems hardware and software. Ability to lead, effective interpersonal skills, and strong briefing and writing skills. Ability to communicate technical subjects to a diverse audience of senior decision makers with varying levels of technical expertise. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field. Military Commander experience. Deep knowledge of satellite tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination architectures. Experience with cloud-enabled space system ground segments.
