We are seeking a self-motivated individual to provide support to field personnel for commercial construction projects and to maintain the warehouse and equipment in good order. One to five years of construction experience is required. Must be able to prioritize and follow through on a high volume of tasks. The typical work week will be 55-60 hours. This person will report to the lead superintendent and will be responsible for all items below. Duties to include but not limited to: Essential Functions: Purchase, receive, unload, verify, and deliver equipment and materials, as directed by the superintendents and foreman, timely and accurately Submit receipts and packing slips for invoice verification and accurately cost code for purchasing Coordinate and schedule truck driver's daily tasks and deliveries to maximize efficiency and drive truck when necessary Track warehouse staff time when working in the warehouse, weld shop, and property Vehicles / Tools / Equipment: Coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs with field personnel and repair shops and perform small maintenance and repairs manually Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections on a recurring basis to ensure everything is fully operational when needed Set up new vehicles complete for operation upon purchase Track all shop and field tool inventory, location, and field personnel possession Warehouse: Organize shop and yard, maintain in a logical order, and clean (including broom sweeping, emptying trash, cleaning windows, and blowing leaves) Maintain all shop inventory including stocked materials, safety items, tools, equipment, and vehicles, and notify purchasing for restocking Initiate and maintain relationships with suppliers, verify and negotiate pricing Plan ahead for weather hazards at the office and local affiliated properties Perform other duties as assigned Skills Required: One to five years of construction experience Must be able to operate forklifts and construction equipment Dependable and reliable Extremely organized and disciplined Persistence to follow through on tasks to completion Able to prioritize a high volume of tasks Skills Desired: Experience working at construction supply house companies Experience with purchasing and negotiating pricing, specifically with construction materials Automobile or equipment mechanic experience DOT Medical Card is required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred Carpentry or handyman experience Building maintenance experience OSHA training and/or other backgrounds with safety programs Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 3-5 years of related experience is required.     Warehouse Supervisor - Full Time (M-F, No Weekends!) Pay: $20-$22/hour, based on experience Fischer Auction & Appraisal is a well-established auction company based in Alpine, CA, specializing in the sale of equipment, vehicles, tools, and business assets. We are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to support daily operations and lead our crew on-site, off-site, and wherever our auctions take us. This is a hands-on, full-time, physically demanding role. You will work outdoors, lead by example, and be a key support to our Director of Operations by keeping the team on task and projects moving forward. What You'll Do Oversee and assist warehouse employees during daily tasks such as unloading, lotting, tagging, palletizing, and staging auction items Run morning huddles and end-of-day recaps to keep the team organized and efficient Lead or support auction setups at our Alpine facility or off-site (some overnight travel required) Travel with or without a team to off-site auctions to lot and catalog assets (must have a reliable vehicle) Operate forklifts and other equipment, load/unload trucks, and troubleshoot mechanical issues Start vehicles, change batteries, read engine codes, and assist with light mechanical tasks Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow direction from upper management and ensure team members do the same Provide respectful, professional customer service during previews and pickups What We're Looking For Strong physical ability: This job is very labor-intensive. You must be able to lift and move heavy items (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day and work in variable outdoor conditions. High energy and work ethic: You must be ready to hustle, stay on your feet, and lead by example in a fast-paced, physical setting. Tech savvy: You must be confident using smartphones, tablets, and apps for inventory, lotting, email, and digital communication. Quick typing and familiarity with iOS/Android required.
