We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Builder - Enclosure (Mechanical Assembler) to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the mechanical assembly of generator enclosures, piping, and heavy industrial components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a heavy industrial environment, operating material handling equipment, and interpreting technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and fit mechanical parts, enclosures, piping, and structural components
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to guide assembly operations
• Use forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to safely move heavy parts and materials
• Install major components such as tanks, louvers, frames, generators, and panels
• Use hand and power tools to complete complex assemblies and mechanical fits
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure parts and finished assemblies meet quality standards
• Assist with on-site installation, service, and warranty work when required
• Provide feedback to engineering and supervisors for continuous improvement
• Follow all safety procedures and perform equipment inspections (cranes, lifts, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Train and mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in heavy industrial mechanical assembly
• Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical documentation
• Certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
• Physically able to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and work in a high-traffic shop environment
• Knowledge of material handling protocols and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial components and tools
• Clear understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safe work practices
Preferred:
• Experience in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment
• Background in genset assembly or large-scale industrial equipment
• Service technician experience is a plus

How You'll Make an Impact
Prepares and assembles transformer components (tanks, covers, radiators, etc.) for final assembly and prepares the unit for testing
Supports the testing process and disassembles accessories post-testing to prepare the transformer for shipping and dispatch
Operating overhead cranes, forklifts for transport of accessories and components
Performs quality inspections, documents processes, and assists in developing and maintaining technical instructions for assembly and disassembly procedures
Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].
What You Bring
An associate degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered
Experience operating cranes and the ability to obtain a Crane operation certification.
Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges.
Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and certification for working in heights.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting.
Other Key Requirements:
Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests, read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.

Responsibilities:
* Performs all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly, all sensitive and very detailed assembly operations, some electrical, instrumentation and control elements of the package, and functional test set up including in-process quality checks and tests.
* Performs disassembly and rebuild of air ends, or sensitive rotating assemblies.
* Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material, and quality control documents.
* Takes responsibility for quality and work content performed in the applicable operation by signing off on the appropriate documentation prior to indexing to the next step in process.
