Job Summary
The Sub Assembler mechanical Products produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies for use in further assembly of the dispenser units and ice machines in the Mechanical Products Department. This position follows standard work methods and practices, and maintains safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and as safe as possible.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepares work for assembly by visually inspecting incoming materials for defects.
Provides sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses, bearings, and copper tubing for further assembly of the dispenser unit by soldering, brazing, spot welding, and deburring, using hand and power tools, a propane torch, jigs, and fixtures, and following verbal, written, and electronic instructions and engineering drawings.
Maintains Follett production and quality standards by using equipment, tools, and supplies as needed to accomplish job results, inspecting parts, and detecting malfunctions.
Maintains parts availability by placing all assembled components on WIP (work-in-process) racks and following proper line flow.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and by notifying supervisors of hazards.
Resolves problems by notifying the supervisor to obtain additional information or resources.
Documents actions by completing reports such as production reports, inspection reports, foam records, etc., as required by the supervisor.
Keeps equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and notifying appropriate personnel of needed repairs.
Assists in training new employees by demonstrating proper techniques, giving verbal instruction, and answering questions.
Performs daily inspections of all bench tooling and work-in-progress (WIP) parts.
Maintains inventory levels by using various inventory control systems.
Must be willing to move to any department as needed.
Must be willing to provide support to all other departments upon request.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you'll do:
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be engaged in the highly exacting manufacture of switchgear and related auxiliary products at Eaton's newly acquired Innovative Switchgear Solutions (ISG) business. You will work with other members of the production team and maintain a level of productivity that supports the Master Schedule. While reporting directly to the Production Lead, you will interface with other functions such as Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing.
In this function, you will:
Ensure that products are assembled correctly according to drawings and work instructions.
Ensure that products meet quality standards, perform intended functions, and are shipped according to customer specifications satisfactorily.
Perform standard in-process inspections on products, ensuring conformance with drawings and work instructions. If failures occur, contact the Quality Engineer.
Cross-check work with contents of traveler to ensure that equipment being built meets customer requirements/ specifications.
Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
Perform various electrical and mechanical assembly tasks on production lines using a variety of hand tools and power tools, including torque wrenches, crimpers, painting, cutting, grinding tools, etc.
Read, understand, and follow written work instructions in connection with manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies. This includes the ability to provide feedback and process improvements to existing work instructions.
Maintain and account for production tools and equipment.
Clean parts/assemblies using solvents and other chemicals as directed safely.

Base Compensation: The base pay for this role is between $20 - $24 an hour and will be determined based on the individuals experience. This role is also eligible for benefits and an annual bonus.

Our client, one of the leading healthcare company, is currently seeking several

for their Englewood, CO US 80112 location.
As an
Assembler
you would assemble and package disposable medical device products.
Anticipated Start Date:
Monday, 3/20
Working Hours:
1st, 2nd and 3rd Shifts of 8 hour days on Thursday and Friday and 10 hour days on Saturday and Sunday for a 36 hour week. Additional hours can be made up on Wednesdays.
Pay Rate Range:
$15.00 to $15.75 per hour
