Key Responsibilities
Assemble data logger units using PCBA components, wiring, enclosures, and various mechanical tools.
Use wrenches, screwdrivers, and other hand tools to perform accurate mechanical assembly.
Follow detailed Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assembly drawings to ensure consistent and high-quality builds.
Support product testing on the production line, including functional tests, basic troubleshooting, and documentation of test results.
Report defects or assembly issues to supervisors, technicians, or engineering teams.
Maintain a clean, well-organized workstation and actively participate in a strong 5S program.
Adhere to all safety rules, guidelines, and best practices to promote a safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members and support daily production goals.
Qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The HVAC Assembler conducts prebuild inspections of components and performs basic mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build HVAC units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.
Essential Functions:

1. Conduct prebuild inspections of components, noting any pre-existing, handling-damage, prior to beginning the build process.
2. The Assembler is responsible for the assembling of light duty truck and van equipment.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Locate, unbox and assemble various aftermarket, steel and aluminum truck and van equipment; this includes shelving, ladder racks, partitions and other equipment.
Assist the install technicians as needed
Read and follow basic mechanical instructions and do so in accordance with company standard operating procedures
Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Vocational school a plus
Experience with operating a Forklift preferred
Candidates must successfully complete criminal background check and submit to a motor vehicle background check
Skills:
Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
