The Header Assembler is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of power and manual equipment to manufacture standard and custom door package headers and moldings. This position requires strong attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality products that meet exact specifications.
Assembly Lead Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and adjust power and manual equipment, including power presses, arbor presses, milling machines, drilling machines, cut-off saws, routers, and dies.
Perform manufacturing operations such as blanking, slotting, punching, piercing, and drilling.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and special instructions to ensure accurate production.
Maintain and modify equipment setups to accommodate changes in size, style, or specifications.
Inspect work periodically to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed.
Lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment and dies to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Complete finishing tasks such as testing, adjusting, and packing parts for shipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
Assembly Lead Qualifications:
Previous experience operating power and manual equipment in a manufacturing or production environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.

Follow and install all the safety requirements of the system.
Modifying component according to engineering request. Drill and tap holes, cutting slots, cutting parts, opening holes, grinding surfaces, rewire and change electrical components.
Report issues to the supervisor, engineering and quality team.
Test and adjusts mechanical and electrical assemblies following the assembly instructions and check lists.
Run the equipment and help with the FAT (Final Acceptance Test).
Collaborate with the service department. Help install the equipment on the customer site.
Following the project schedule and keeping truck of the production order schedule. Reporting the issues to the schedule to the supervisor.
Accurate control of inventory using production orders. Collaborate with inventory for maintaining all needed parts for the project.
Navigate to our Inventory, Project and File Management systems.

What you'll do:
Eaton is seeking a Production Technician for its Panelboard / Switchboard Satellite Operation.
Position Overview:
The Production Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including: wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.
Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specification based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with the use of hand and power tools.
Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards and ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
Use various tools, such as wire strippers and plyers to perform the electrical wiring assembly of panelboards and/or switchboards.
Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.
Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health. Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 5S guidelines.
Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with the use of hand and/or power tools (experience in automotive repairs, construction, carpentry, or other assembly type environments will be considered).
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related experience.
Experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow to install correct wires.
Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.
Experience using various tools including: manual/electric tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, tape measure, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

Must be able to interact and contribute in a small team environment and ability to flex according to production demands.
Lift 35lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading).

Forming of Sheet Metal parts to required specifications. Hand forming as well as hammer form and rubber press form.
Other tasks to support forming operation - such as polishing parts and deburring.
Signs into and tracks work using an ERP system.
Capable of diagnosing simple issues with parts, able to work with technical staff to diagnose more complex issues.
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
Follows documentation to select gauge and type of sheet metal such as copper, steel, or aluminum, or titanium.
Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates.
Inspects each operation for conformance to prints / specifications.
Moving products to other areas as needed.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Prior experience is a plus but not required. Willing to train mechanically apt person.

Scope:
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for hand soldering, along with set-up and operation of automated soldering machine used in soldering of printed circuit boards. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Follows verbal and written instructions including blueprints, subassembly layouts. May use hand tools, set up, adjust and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines. Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hand Solder electronic components in through-hole and surface mount technology to Military Standards.
· Sets up and operates automated soldering equipment.
· Adjusts automated soldering equipment.
· Checks circuit boards in process for pin holes, insufficient solder, excess solder and leaners. Adds solder as needed.
· Adjusts temperature and pressure controls for proper operation.
· Perform specialized testing of products. Technical school training preferred. Good mechanical skills and understanding of basic forms of digital and analog circuitry.
· Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.
· Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner.
· Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes.
· Attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors safety hazards and issues.
· All other assigned duties as required within the production organization.
