    The Mechanical Assembler “B” is responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of various HVAC equipment including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits and cabling. The Mechanical Assembler “B” must be able to perform his/her responsibilities effectively with moderate supervision. The Mechanical Assembler efforts actively support our mission of ensuring reliable, durable and safe operations for our customers by furnishing the highest quality industrial HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities • Install, move, and modify related equipment according to the job order specifications, standards, and procedures • Read and interpret engineering drawings and/or product schematics • Complete training/internship with mentor - SME (Subject Matter Expert), Lead Mechanic or Supervisor • Route and install electrical cables • Route and install refrigerant piping, and solder per requirements • Route and install instrument air piping • Mount and align electric motors and bearings • Mount compressors on HVAC unit • Install labels • Install ground wires • Mount major HVAC components on skids • Completes assigned tasks within the allotted hours with minimum to no rework • Active participant of DWD Safety Program • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations • Operates forklift to transport supplies and equipment • And all other duties as assigned Skills/Knowledge Required • 2 years minimum of HVAC experience - either routing and installing electrical conduits and circuits, routing and installing refrigerant piping and soldering, routing and installing instrument air piping, or routing and install chilled piping - preferred • 2 years minimum in custom manfucaturing, industrial equipment repair, or facility maintenance • High School Diploma or GED preferred • Must be able to operate forklift • Must be able to operate hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and drills) • Must provide own tools - basic mechanic set • Must be able to effectively communicate in English The Mechanical Assembler “B” is responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of various HVAC equipment including refrigeration piping, electrical conduits and cabling. Required Skills and Experience: Extensive experience with Assembler Language Coding (ALC) Hands-on experience with mainframe systems, especially large batch systems, JCL, TSO, control-m. Prior experience with Linux, z/OS, bash shell scripting highly desired. Experience with code merging activities using source code control systems such as Endeavor or RTC. Experience working on Agile teams. Experience with legacy IRS Masterfile (IMF), IRS Business Master file (BMF) or the IRS CADE2 is a plus. Prior experience with Ansible is a plus but not required. Prior experience with MongoDB is a plus, but nor required. Job Duties: Analyze existing ALC software and produce technical documentation, specifications and conversion details which will be used to develop modernized Java code. Work closely with Java developers in support of code migration from Assembler to Java. Working knowledge of mainframe tools including TSO, JCL, Control-M, relational database, DB2 QMF, SPUFI. Develop and manage large scale, high-performance relational (DB2) and operational databases such MongoDB. Document and develop effective interfaces to system applications and services. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software and assist in defect resolution. Build features and applications with a high availability design. Write technical documentation. Work as part of application development teams in Java, MongoDB, and other technologies to implement client enterprise systems. Education Requirement: A bachelor s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field preferred Security Requirement: Ability to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required for this position.
