We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling compressors, blowers, and vacuum pumps according to detailed drawings and specifications. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, power drills, and portable gas heating equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fit and align machined parts such as bearings, diaphragms, impeller wheels, blower casings, shafts, and gear cages.
+ Scrape bearings to fit shafts using hand scrapers, blue chalk, and abrasive paper.
+ Screw and bolt together mechanical parts such as gears, vanes, needle bearings, and ring gear using wrenches and screwdrivers.
+ Shrink impeller wheels, sleeves, spacers, and balance pistons onto shafts using portable gas heating equipment.
+ Caulk metal sealing strips into seams of impeller wheels, sleeves, and balance pistons using a hammer and caulking chisel.
+ Lift and position the spindle into the casing to align the diaphragm to the spindle and blower casing using lead wires, micrometers, and calipers.
+ Level beams supporting bedplates over the test pit using a transit, master straightedge, and levels.
+ Align and level blower, induction gear, oil tank, and drive unit on bedplate to mark mounting holes using gauges, rules, punch, and scribes.
+ Drill, tap, and ream holes for mounting bolts, coupling guards, and dowel pins using a portable drill press.
+ Install inlet and discharge piping to the blower using hand tools and attach instruments such as barometers, thermometers, pressure gauges, thermocouples, and speed indicators.
+ Dismantle units from the test pit and clean and oil parts prior to shipment.
+ Conduct specified tests to determine blower performance using electrical test equipment and record instrument readings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with air tools and general tool usage.
+ Understanding of basic motor functions, torque specifications, and gauge knowledge.
+ Ability to read and interpret SOPs and engineering drawings.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as tape measures and rulers.
+ Capability to take feedback and make adjustments to assembled parts as needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Basic assembly skills, especially sub-assemblies.
+ Experience in a production line environment.
+ Ability to work under the guidance of a line lead.

Complete required documentation and report of daily work.
Painter (Only applies for to positions in Bench and Flow Line areas.)
Perform painting process for completed units for shipment according to established methods, procedures, and standards.
Inspect units to assure housings are free from lubricant and dirt prior to painting.
Prepare units for painting by ensuring all shafts and bores are masked from the paint process.
Ensure unit nameplates and shafts are protected from exposure to paint.
Ensure units move along the paint line smoothly to maintain productive flow of work.
Ensure all unit surfaces are coated (both units painted on the line and units spray painted).
Follow written instruction on method for keeping spray equipment clean and undamaged.
Clean paint booth and related equipment using chemicals as instructed.
Operate overhead hoist.
Keep accurate records of numbers and types of units painted.
Perform final assembly of Bost-Kleen units when applicable in accordance with bill of material as prescribed and special units using Engineering prints.
Packer
Inspect units to ensure that the unit is painted according to standards.
Package painted units and ensure that all units are packed correctly, to include accurately matching labels and units.

Essential Functions:
Assemble and install electrical, LED, and other signage components
Operate machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place
Install finished assemblies or sub-assemblies
Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware to assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and wrenches
Perform and monitor functional tests, following procedures and design requirements
Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on cranes and tools used in assembly
Qualifications:
Ability to handle and lift-up to 35 lbs as needed for specific job functions
May have to work with or around electrical equipment
May be required to stand 80% of the work schedule
May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling
Experience Required:
Prior assembly experience preferred
Prior experience using hand and power tools
Must have knowledge of using a measuring tape
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly prints
Must have basic mathematic skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
