Position Overview: An Assembler reads and interprets schematic drawings, blueprints, and diagrams to assemble electronic components according to product specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble, inspect, and test precision semiconductor assemblies and raw components as instructed. * Follow documented procedures and provide immediate feedback when there is uncertainty. * Meeting daily production rate and communicating production output. Addresses issues immediately when production is at risk. * Verifies dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. * Assures calibrated equipment is being used as required and notifies the appropriate Engineer if it is not. * Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. * Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Key Competencies & Skills Required: * Experience in hand soldering, manually placing small parts or components onto an electrical assembly. * Wire bonding experience is a plus. * Familiar with following travelers and standard operating procedures and follows basics of assembly drawings under direct supervision. * Experience using microscopes to inspect products and ensure the highest standard of quality.
