Responsibilities:

Assemble industrial machinery according to assembly drawings, procedures, and direction from others. Should have both electrical and mechanical assembly aptitude.
Troubleshoot electrical issues.
Test machinery to ensure accuracy before shipping to the customer.
Drill and tap holes at assembly.
Redline engineered drawings when corrections are required.
Organize fixtures used during assembly.
Drive a forklift and utilize overhead cranes.
Participate in project meetings.
Participate in field installations, as needed.
Occasionally perform rework machining tasks on a manual mill or lathe.
Assist in developing procedures to ensure quality and increased productivity.
Follow all departmental procedures and work instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work area daily. Organize and store machining fixtures for future use.
Maintain a safe work environment through ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Report safety related discrepancies and recommend corrective action to prevent, to correct and to eliminate safety hazards.
Travel to client sites for installation and repair.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a qualified assembly and repair technician.
Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematics.
Experience in a made to order, engineered to order manufacturing environment a plus.
Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals.
Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
Eager to cooperate with others with good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.

**Job Summary:**
The Cleanroom Assembler II works under close supervision performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military standards, Food and Drug Administration standards, and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of units; may also work from sketches and oral instructions.
+ Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies using hand or power tools, such as soldering irons, solder suckers, wire strippers, high voltage soldering irons, resistance (module) welders, bench spot welders, nut drivers, torque wrenches, drill presses, sanders, and microscope.
+ Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
+ Mark identifying information on parts.
+ Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and scales.
+ Clean parts using iridite touch-up, solvents, degreasers, abrasives and other cleaning agents.
+ Set up and utilize properly all applicable jigs, fixtures, aids; adapt tooling to new uses or work without tooling as necessary to complete work assignment.
+ Remove and replace encapsulations and bonding, as applicable.
+ Coordinate with engineering relative to prototype or repair problems, as authorized.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an Assembler. Our Assemblers primary functions would be drilling and deburring parts to ready for assembly, assembly of component parts including attaching parts together by installing ground studs, attaching nutplates or bonding. In all actions, supports the Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work from and follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout & modification sheets, engineering orders and verbal/written instruction.
* Interpret document/instruction (above) to determine sequence and methods to assemble and repair sheet metal products.
* Pull parts from bin; report any shortages to Supervisor.
* Work different gauge/type of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications.
* Clean components; load component parts onto jig/fixture.
* Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect part to ensure that specifications are met.
* Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces.
* call for inspection.
* Work off rework to engineering to eliminate non-conformance.
* Scrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor.
* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
* High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
* Previous aircraft experience or sheet metal work is preferred.
* Basic mechanical aptitude to put together work instructions and to assemble parts.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with team members on a regular basis.
* Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices a plus.
* Skilled at using a variety of small hand tools.
