You will be the Production Assembler - Chattahoochee Tech Training Program for the team which is responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts into detail structural and mechanical assemblies. What You Will Be Doing As the Production Assembler - Chattahoochee Tech Training Program, you will be responsible for assembling parts into detail assemblies where all locating information is established by tooling.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Pressing in bushings or bearings, jig drilling and riveting splines or clevises to shafts, torque tubes, or push-pull rods
* Trimming, fitting, and burring detail parts such as stringers, minor spars, ribs, stiffeners, brackets, and clips prior to assembly
* Installing parts such as plate nuts, gang nuts, brackets, fittings, and gussets
* Assembling and temporarily fastening detail parts together in predetermined sequence for subsequent joining operations such as spot welding, riveting, or bolting
* Cleaning, lubricating, color coding, and identifying parts as required

Who You Are
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and detail-oriented assembler with experience working with fabricated and purchased parts. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to read and interpret production blueprints and documents, and the ability to work with established tooling and follow detailed production information.

Basic Qualifications:
Four (4) months of previous experience in production assembly-type work OR Four (4) months of previous mechanical experience such as automotive/HVAC repair, construction, and bench assembly work. Must be able to read assembly blueprints. Must be familiar with basic hand tools. Must pass all testing while in training and the hands on Proficiency Demonstrations.
The Aircraft Manufacturing Training Program will train to perform structural work on the C-130 aircraft in accordance with technical data. The applicant will receive related instruction (RI) and on the job learning (OJL) to include assembly and installation, repair, and inspection of structural, electrical, and mechanical elements of an aircraft while performing direct tasks for the program. The applicant will be expected to perform repetitive and non-repetitive operations after completing training with some assistance and supervision. Works from blueprints, diagrams, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools to perform work according to technical data. Must be able to read and speak English, comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must perform and pass required proficiency assessments/demonstrations.
For consideration in the program, candidates must enroll in the AMTP program offered through Chattahoochee Technical College. Tuition costs may apply, but in-state financial aid and grants may be available to qualifying candidates. Candidates are responsible for submitting the aid application through the Chattahoochee Technical College process for eligibility verification. The program is a 10 week training program and requires the successful completion of all training classes delivered, a hands-on proficiency demonstration in week four in order to be considered for hire. Upon hire candidates must successfully complete all training classes and pass a hands-on proficiency demonstration during week eight in order to retain employment. All training will be conducted at the Chattahoochee Tech Aviation Academy located at the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport during first shift hours. Upon hire, the employment location will be 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, GA 30060.
Must be flexible and available to work first or second shift schedules. Work schedules are Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. Start times may vary depending on the assigned work area, but the standard first and second shifts begin 5:30 am - 4:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 2:30 am. AMTP training times may vary.

The Mechanical Assembler I - 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) is an entry level position and is responsible for the assembly of simple mechanical seals. Perform a variety of repetitive operations to assemble mechanical seals, products and sub-assemblies. Uses a variety of common hand tools and simple machines. Stores and retrieves materials as required. Must be able to work overtime as required, maintain a positive and focuses attitude, and be willing to support all of the team's goals and objectives.

Maintains clean and organized work area in accordance to 5S policies and procedures.
This specific role/function is subject to our On-Call Policy and may be required to remain available during off- schedule hours to support the business needs.

The Wire Harness Assembler is responsible for the assembly of raw parts and sub-assemblies by following in detail our standard work instructions.
* Perform a wide range of complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions.
* Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed.
* Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, sonic welder, and wire strippers.
* Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards.
* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.
* Prep components prior to assembly, clean components, wire bond, potting, seal, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies.
* Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using hand tools.
* Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
* Capable of being trained across the entire product line and working with Engineering on new or emerging products as well as producing first articles.
* Follow company guidelines and procedures
* Responsible for being an active team participant in teamwork toward continuous improvement.
* May be asked to perform some of the following offline tasks including quality checks, down-time reporting and housekeeping duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications

You must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, bend and lift up to 80 pounds, including over your head.
This position requires you to be able to drive between store locations. Y ou must be willing and able to travel to various customer sites. You will be out on the road, traveling to and working at our customer sites. Travel time and scheduling needs may vary.
You must have your own RELIABLE transportation for local and out of town travel. You are responsible for getting yourself to work every day. Although efforts are made to keep you within your local travel area of 5-50 miles, out-of-town travel may be regularly required.
You must have your own tools to be eligible to work. Assembly technicians are expected to have every tool necessary to perform each service we offer with them at ALL TIMES. You must have regular internet access via a smart phone or other mobile device. Smartphones and tablets are acceptable for most website applications, as long as they have regular internet access.

The General Assembly role at our Frankfort, IN location involves working collaboratively to assemble filtration products in an innovative, team-oriented environment. This is a
1st
shift on-site
position, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Role Responsibilities:
Work in a manufacturing team environment on multiple production lines to produce air filtration products
Perform various tasks throughout the shift in a fast-paced work environment
Follow theoretical and practical instructions
Communicate effectively with team members and Team Leaders to achieve a high efficiency and high-quality air filtration product
Inspect work of the previous operators and communicate to them whether the quality is acceptable
Complete & record all applicable paperwork (scrap reports, first-piece inspection sheets, etc.)
Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
Follow written and oral instruction
Adhere to safety procedures

Follow set-up sheets, route sheets, and first-piece inspection sheets
Exhibit mechanical aptitude
Problem solve efficiently and effectively
Retain knowledge of the department of operation

Hourly Rate: $20.40
Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.
This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
