POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Assembler is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of aluminum trailers. This includes measuring, cutting, and drilling of aluminum, plywood, and skins. All Production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of Production. Position offers job training. Training may include shop print reading, light assembly, and aluminum welding. Job requirements are close to residential and commercial carpentry and construction trade type of work and require some mechanical aptitude, good hand-eye coordination, while using diverse types of shop equipment and cordless power hand tools. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles different facets of a trailer, including but not limited to interior trim, fenders, rough or finished wiring, and framing, following the work order. Obtains raw materials from Material Handlers. Cut material in accordance with specifications on the cut list.
