Mercury Systems is looking for a top performer to help complete a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written. This is a 1st shift opportunity, daily hours will be from 5:00am to 2:30pm and overtime is available and encouraged. You will be responsible for: * Install, assemble, and inspect electronic components during product assembly, per documented work instructions. Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics. * Performing a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards. * Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts. * Using hand and/or power tools and, jigs. * Modifying, soldering, reworking, repairing assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions. * Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor. Required Qualifications: * Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. * 5+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount), * Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups. * Hand soldering experience is required. * Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures. * High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications: * Rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly. * Must be detail oriented and able to multitask. * IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification preferred. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs. * 10 plus years related experience preferred. As an assembler, you will be responsible for frame assembly, material picking and sorting, and quality checking and packaging. You will work closely with the production team to ensure all materials are prepared, assembled, and packaged according to specifications and standards. Select appropriate materials from inventory to fulfill production requirements. + Quality Check and Packaging (20%): + - Pre-Packaging Inspection: Perform a secondary inspection of palletized order, verify correct material was used, and all parts are accounted for. Identify any issues or variances and communicate with team lead or manager. + - Packaging: Package all orders according to Assembly SOP. Record all necessary shipping information on work order. Band, wrap, and label pallets according to quality standards. + - Photos: Take photos of all finished pallets ensuring as many if not all parts are clearly visible. The Production Assembler will perform basic assembly and system integration activities within a production environment involving electronic components, off-the-shelf parts and materials, manufactured components, and other hardware.
