The Electrical cohort is a 15-week program. Upon completion the candidate will have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work of an Electrical Assembly Mechanic, to include, interpreting model-based drawings and blueprints, following work instructions, Wire bundle routing, wire stripping, terminating, wire bundle splicing, solder sleeves, connector build-up, bundle dressing, Fiber optics, RF cable handling, and bonding and grounding of parts and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish defect-free work and ensuring structural integrity and safety.
What is a Technical Apprenticeship?
Boeing Technical Apprenticeship Program (BTAP), is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL). It is an earn and learn program including formal learning, on-the-job experiences, and mentorship. Every graduate of a Registered Apprenticeship program will receive a nationally-recognized credential from the DOL.

What is the experience?

During the apprenticeship duration, you will initially complete a highly rigorous and accelerated learning program tailored to develop foundational skills across manufacturing and assembly. At the conclusion of the program, successful candidates will have the chance to convert to a union-represented Assembly Mechanic position where your skills will be enhanced with training and on-the-job learning tailored for a specific program.

This program is located on the St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley campus
Class start dates will vary based on pathway and course schedule.
Classes may be held on first or second shift, based on demand for that session. Selected candidates will be informed of their shift prior to the start of the course
