Summary:
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly of transmission components. This position must have the ability to read, follow and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Job Description:
On a production basis, performs light electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work of low complexity and limited scope. Performs only relatively simple assembly procedures, which require primarily manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools. The cycle of repetition is ordinarily short with long work runs on the same or similar items. Parts are ordinarily not difficult to handle and soldering, if required, does not involve access problems. Works from samples or simple visual aids (clearly marked drawings or photographs, etc.) and receives detailed instructions as to exact procedures to be followed. Excludes those who are engaged primarily in loading and operating a machine, which assembles parts or components.

Assembles boxes, pallets, and labels, etc. to receive finished goods.
Inspects and performs minor repairs such as trimming flash or cutting gates, applies labels to products retrieved from the machines or material handling equipment
Assembles parts to form products, pre-manufactured bulk packed parts into finished goods for sale. Assembles other parts as needed.
Packs products into boxes for sale or case packs products according to instructions provided.
Operates manual shrink machine by checking oven temperatures, selecting correct size bag, and hand sealing the bag.
Operates the auto machine by checking the oven temperatures, feeding the product onto the conveyor belt, and completing roll changes.
Operates packaging equipment such as the taping machine.
Properly accounts for all products by completing necessary paperwork so production and inventory results can be accurately reported.
Required Qualifications of the Assembler:
Background check and drug screen (minus THC) is required upon hire.
Three months related experience and/or training.
Knowledge of basic math.
Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.

Assembler job in Tempe, AZ
Ability to wear required PPE to fulfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses.
Use hand tools, spot welders, microscopes, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products using detailed documented procedures.
Follow all policies, procedures, and drawings for accuracy and quality.
Perform visual checks of product to assure quality.
Identify non-conforming parts following documented procedures.
Meet manufacturing output requirements while producing high quality products.
Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment under minimal supervision to accomplish department goals.
Must have strong problem solving, analytical skills, adaptability, and flexibility.
Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, email)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to clearly read and write in English.
