Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power, oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
Role Summary:
The Precision Assembler will be responsible for the preparation of assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble pumps utilizing a variety of tools and test equipment. This person will have access to tools at our facility to accomplish these expectations to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product to our customers.
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00 am
Responsibilities:
Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
Demonstrates an advanced understanding of inspection equipment, their functions and uses to ensure that all parts and assemblies are within specifications.
Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all assembly procedures.
Follow all safety procedures, and wear required personal safety equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.
Have a sharp eye for detail and a results-oriented approach.
Capable of calculating basic mathematical functions including computation of rate, ratio, and percent and to convert one type of measurement into another.
Participate in CIP activities as needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and technical drawings safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers
Show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
Demonstrate behavior that promotes team building and continuous improvement.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate jib and overhead cranes

Requirements:
1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices or as a general mechanic is preferred.

In this role you will utilize both detailed and general instruction, schematics and wiring diagrams to build custom industrial filling and packaging machinery. Working closely with the team you will work on a variety of projects to ensure the machinery is built and ready for our customers to come onsite for acceptance testing. Once approved you will assist in preparing the machinery to be shipped to the customer's location. RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description:
The MS Assembler conducts pre-build inspections of components and performs basic mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build Micro Electricca units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.
1. Conduct pre-build inspections of components, noting any preexisting, handling-damage, prior to beginning the build process.
2. Utilizing approved manufacturing work instructions, use hand, pneumatic, and power tools to assemble components, according to drawing specifications, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices.

Under general direction from the Production Supervisor, the Assembler is responsible for safely assembling finished product using components, sub-assemblies, fasteners, and packaging material following all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
* Review and follow all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, and/or drawings to determine required assembly finish on product, pack, and any special options to completion.
* Check and maintain accurate inventory of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners to complete production orders.
* Ability to safely operate power and hand tools to complete assigned tasks, as well as operate controls and safety stops on machines.
* Follow all Company safety policies, rules, and procedures at all times; maintain a strong safety mindset. Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for work being performed.
* Accurate completion of all documentation and production reporting following Company and Quality guidelines. Maintain accurate record of time spent and material used within established standards.
* Perform basic arithmetic calculations for accurate production reporting.
* Maintain a clean work environment aligned with Company standards.
* Operate scan guns for production order/WIP processes and inventory.
* Work and communicate in a team environment and/or independently as needed to achieve successful production and quality goals.
* Promptly raise any safety, quality or production issues to appropriate parties, and work with support functions to quickly resolve issues.
* Ability to cross train and rotate between various areas within the department throughout the shift.
* Meet all production output goals as aligned with PPLH (Parts Per Labor Hour) standards and budget targets.
* Assist with training new full time and/or temporary employees as needed in compliance with all safety, quality and production policies, rules, and procedures.

Scope
Under general direction from the Production Supervisor, the Assembler is responsible for safely assembling finished product using components, sub-assemblies, fasteners and packaging material following all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
* Review and follow all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, and/or drawings to determine required assembly finish on product, pack and any special options to completion.
* Check and maintain accurate inventory of sub-assemblies, parts and fasteners to complete production orders.
* Ability to safely operate power and hand tools to complete assigned tasks, as well as operate controls and safety stops on machines.
* Follow all Company safety policies, rules and procedures at all times; maintain a strong safety mindset. Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for work being performed.
* Accurate completion of all documentation and production reporting following Company and Quality guidelines. Maintain accurate record of time spent and material used within established standards.
* Perform basic arithmetic calculations for accurate production reporting.
* Maintain a clean work environment aligned with Company standards.
* Operate scan guns for production order processes and inventory.
* Work and communicate in a team environment and/or independently as needed to achieve successful production and quality goals.
* Promptly raise any safety, quality or production issues to appropriate parties, and work with support functions to quickly resolve issues.
* Ability to cross train and rotate between various areas within the department throughout the shift.
* Meet all production output goals as aligned with PPLH (Parts Per Labor Hour) standards and budget targets.
* Assist with training new full time and/or temporary employees as needed in compliance with all safety, quality and production policies, rules and procedures.
* All other duties as assigned.

* Assembler I - Entry level position; can assemble, test, calibrate where applicable 25% or better of all products within respective cost center.
* Assembler II - Previous manufacturing experience preferred; can assemble, test, calibrate where applicable 50% or better of all products within respective cost center.
* Assembler III - Previous manufacturing experience preferred; can assemble, test, calibrate where applicable all products within respective cost center. Can assemble, test, calibrate where applicable at least 25% of production in non-assigned cost centers. SME (Subject Matter Expert) for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

* Previous manufacturing experience in a regulated industry preferred.
* Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), e-mail and Internet a plus.

They're currently seeking a highly skilled PCB Assembler, ideal candidate will possess at least an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, specifically in PCB layout assembly (printed circuit boards). Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Completes work area setup
Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
Maintains production records as required
Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
Working knowledge of basic math
Must be at least 18 years of age
