Work Environment
Single-Use Production is performed in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment. Powder free gloves, face masks, hairnets, gowns and shoe covers must be worn. Shorts, loose or baggy clothing is not permitted. Makeup, hair styling products, soiled, fuzzy or frayed clothing must not be worn into the cleanroom. Because smokers continue to shed thousands of smoke particles even hours after smoking a cigarette and these particles will damage our products, only non-smokers are permitted to enter or work in the cleanroom.

Yamaha Guitar Group is a leading manufacturer of electric guitar and bass products, consisting of the 'Line 6', 'Ampeg', 'Cordoba' & 'Guild' brand. We are looking for a motivated and highly technical Assembler to join the team!
This role will be based from our Oxnard office and the applicant must live close enough to commute on a daily basis.
This position will assist with sanding, assembling/gluing and inspecting wood products. This position requires precise attention to detail and proficient hand-to-eye coordination/dexterity. This role is a 40 hour per week role that will be temporary with an opportunity for conversion based on company needs and performance.
Essential Functions:
Assembly: Assemble wood components according to blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
Gluing: Apply adhesives and clamps to secure joints and ensure proper bonding.
Sanding: Smooth surfaces using various sanding techniques and equipment to prepare for finishing.
Inspection: Conduct quality control checks to identify and rectify defects.
Material Handling: Transport materials and finished products within the assembly area.
Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of woodworking techniques and finishing processes
Skilled in handling wood surfaces with precision and care
Proficient in operating woodworking machinery and tools
Understanding of guitar construction processes and industry standards
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to stand for extended periods and walk between departments
Repetitive motions, such as operating machinery, using hand tools, or sanding surface
Must be able to lift 10-40 pounds
Comfortable using PPE such as safety glasses, earplugs, and respirators
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide feedback
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
Prior experience in a woodworking or manufacturing environment
Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan
Must be 18 years of age or older

Salary Range is DOE $17/hr. - $19/hr.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, exclusive of overtime, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives.
