Assembler/team lead job description

Job Description Full-time onsite:

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* HS Diploma or Equivalent
* 2 Years Assembly experience minimum.
* Ability to communicate expectations with support staff and assembly team.
* Proficient with MS Suite, ORACLE and FLX.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

* Previous leadership experience

More details about the opportunity:

In assembly, you will learn and rotate through all task in a team environment assisting with the assembly of Pentair products. We also ask that you manage a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of hazardous conditions and supporting Pentair's safety programs.

As the lead you will help train and develop new incoming team members as well as help manage the work for the cell.

Position hours/shift (Overtime Available!):

Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.

ITW Global Tool Unit (GTU) is looking for a highly motivated Global Segment Leader to drive accelerated organic growth through global customer back innovation on our highly successful power tools category.

As a central component of ITW's Construction segment the GTU innovates, develops, and manufactures best-in-class power fastening systems for the global marketplace, serving construction markets in North America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. Our highly differentiated systems are specified to be used in a variety of applications including wood framing, wood trim, and steel to concrete installations.
+ Make daily scheduling adjustments to achieve weekly orders for tools produced by respective team.

+ Capture and react to timely line repairs/error data on the lines. Involve Supervisors for any trends that are occurring.

+ Monitor team actual to pace, actual to daily plan and daily attendance. Notify Supervisors of any issues.

+ Watch for levels of inventory for respective team tool production requirements Report to

+ Production Supervisors of any gaps in supply.

+ Develop training schedules, conduct training to new hires, track progress and provide information to Production Supervisors.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area. Verify that all team members are using proper PPE and following all safety procedures. Lead teams exercises. Participate in safety incident investigations.

+ Takes action to ensure all the requirements for running a tool are achieved-paperwork, labels, proper parts, fixtures, etc.

+ Participate in related team and/or task group meetings to ensure the continuous improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality. · Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve their individual and work area contributions to achieve desired business results.

+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ year of related assembly experience

+ Candidate must demonstrate informal leadership skills

+ Proven problem solving skills

+ Good communication skills with team members, production supervisors and other co-workers

+ The ability to work within established health, safety and quality guidelines and the ability to organize the workload and meet deadlines
