Position Overview:
We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler I to support the construction and assembly of electrical control panels. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with mechanical or electrical experience looking to grow in a dynamic shop environment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Assemble electrical back panels per supplied layouts
Must be able to read BOMs, layouts, and technical instructions
Apply labels and device marking
Review of the Bill of Materials and parts
Use of basic hand tools, punches, drills, and taps
Work under the direct supervision of the Shop Lead or Manager
Must be detail-oriented and a hard worker
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Inventory control and monitoring
Pull parts from inventory per BOMs and job travelers
Verification of parts present in the job bin to be used in layouts
Keep the shop area clean
Work Environment:
The majority of working hours will be spent in the construction and assembly of Electrical Control Panels
Standard 40-hour work week (Overtime is possible)
Some areas of the shop require protective eyewear or clothing as appropriate for a shop environment
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Warehouse, factory, or shop experience required
One to two years of experience in a mechanical or electrical environment is required
Ability to read BOMs and layouts, safe use of power tools, understanding of UL standards
CSA standards, NFPA 70 and 79 (not required, but preferred)

What you'll get to do:
Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products.
Performs tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.

Position Summary
Thales is looking for an Electro/Mechanical Assembler, who's responsible for fabricating, assembling, rebuilding, inspecting, and testing cable & harness assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies including a variety of components, cabinets and all types of reworks.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical specifications and detailed technical instructions for the purposes of fabrication, inspection, and test.
Create and revise technical instructions as needed. Support Manufacturing Engineering activities when requested.
Perform mechanical assembly related to cables, cable harnesses, cabinet assemblies, etc. Use basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches, etc. to perform sub-assembly.
Lay and lace wires on a harness fixture, which will pre-form the harness to fit in next assembly. Cut, strip and tin wires using provided equipment to prepare them for the next assembly.
Apply appropriate markings to parts to satisfy print and customer requirements using inks, stencils and silkscreen techniques. Perform assembly rework following specific instructions and procedures to correct deficiencies and meet quality requirements.
Perform hand soldering per specifications on a variety of electrical components to meet drawing requirements. Install a variety of electrical components onto printed circuit boards by hand using established procedures, component locating equipment, etc. in preparation for further production processes.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, with technical or vocational education in electronics and communications or previous experience, typically acquired with a minimum of 5 (five) years of experience assembling diversely complex electrical/mechanical components, sub-assemblies and assemblies in the requested subject of expertise.
Ability to operate/use wire cutters, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, torque tools, sockets, small tools (all kinds), soldering iron, solder pots, silkscreen, drills stencils, crimpers, rivet machine, OHM meter, wire stripper, oven. Must be able to read and understand schematics and assembling instructions.
Ability to pass the IPC and or J STD certification course. Possess talents, ability and/or desire to learn, work in and support a structured team atmosphere.

Overview
As an Assembler you will be responsible for assembling heated blankets by reading and interpreting technical drawings, assembling components, and performing quality checks to ensure that the heated blankets meet specified standards.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include
Assemble heated blankets according to technical drawings and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fit and secure components.
Install heating elements, sensors, and insulation materials.
Inspect assembled products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform functional tests on heating elements and electronic components.
Report any assembly issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
Follow detailed assembly instructions and protocols.
Understand and apply industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and quality checks.
Complete production logs and other required documentation.
Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about production status and any issues that arise.
Assists other areas if ahead on the schedule.
Complete any other tasks assigned by management or Production Floor Manager.

Qualifications
High School and or trade school is a plus but not required.
One year of related experience in a fast-paced business environment is a plus.

Position overview:
The primary purpose of the production assembler will be to follow specified/established methods and procedures required to make designated assemblies involving the use of hand and power tools and test equipment. This position will also be responsible for the testing and packaging of completed product. (This position is a temporary position that may last up to 6 months)
The shift is Monday through Thursday 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM with Friday's and weekends off.
A day on the job may include:
Plans assembly procedures, following specifications
Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts
Drills, taps, or reams holes
Aligns components then bolts, screws, or rivets them together
Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product
Set up, assemble, repair, test and package final and sub-assemblies
Maintain required work quality and output at all workstations and assembly lines
Perform work in accordance with established requirements
Operate test equipment to ensure product meets all required test specifications, document and report any
discrepancies
Monitor daily quality of assemblies and report all problems/discrepancies
May be required to train or direct work of co-workers
Maintain and report inventory accuracy
Maintain housekeeping and organization of the department and work area
May be required to sweep area, haul trash and perform minor maintenance of certain pieces of equipment
Additional duties may be assigned, or duties may change at any time
Required:
Sit for up to 8 hours a day
Walk distances
Frequent, repetitive elbow movements
Reach, grasp, grip and fine manipulation with hands is required
6+ months in a similar position
This job may be for you if you have:
High School Diploma
Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines
A background check and drug screen is required upon accepting an offer of employment.
