Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (2nd Shift) located in Salt Lake City, UT.
What you'll get to do:
Performs a variety of operations to assemble precision electromechanical products.
Performs tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping; uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerance. Assembles, disassembles, repairs and reassembles precision assemblies and corrects malfunctions.
May assemble and modifies prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate, read, understand, work using a microscope, work with mechanical small parts, handle shock sensitive devices, and follow standard operation procedures or assembly instructions.
Basic Qualifications for the Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2:
High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience.
Must be available for 2nd shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Soldering certification or experience.
Previous experience working closely with Test and Manufacturing techs/engineers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $39,500.00 - $65,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Position Summary
Thales is looking for an Electro/Mechanical Assembler, who's responsible for fabricating, assembling, rebuilding, inspecting, and testing cable & harness assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies including a variety of components, cabinets and all types of reworks.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical specifications and detailed technical instructions for the purposes of fabrication, inspection, and test.
Create and revise technical instructions as needed. Support Manufacturing Engineering activities when requested.
Perform mechanical assembly related to cables, cable harnesses, cabinet assemblies, etc. Use basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches, etc. to perform sub-assembly.
Lay and lace wires on a harness fixture, which will pre-form the harness to fit in next assembly. Cut, strip and tin wires using provided equipment to prepare them for the next assembly.
Apply appropriate markings to parts to satisfy print and customer requirements using inks, stencils and silkscreen techniques. Perform assembly rework following specific instructions and procedures to correct deficiencies and meet quality requirements.
Perform hand soldering per specifications on a variety of electrical components to meet drawing requirements. Install a variety of electrical components onto printed circuit boards by hand using established procedures, component locating equipment, etc. in preparation for further production processes.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, with technical or vocational education in electronics and communications or previous experience, typically acquired with a minimum of 5 (five) years of experience assembling diversely complex electrical/mechanical components, sub-assemblies and assemblies in the requested subject of expertise.
Ability to operate/use wire cutters, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, torque tools, sockets, small tools (all kinds), soldering iron, solder pots, silkscreen, drills stencils, crimpers, rivet machine, OHM meter, wire stripper, oven. Must be able to read and understand schematics and assembling instructions.
Ability to pass the IPC and or J STD certification course. Possess talents, ability and/or desire to learn, work in and support a structured team atmosphere.
Performs assignments of an especially complex nature or gives technical guidance with limited or no supervision. Good with numbers, detail oriented and relevant organizational skills. Self-motivated, critical thinker with technical background. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Assembler to join our team in assembling structural component frames for data centers. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills for cutting and measuring materials, mechanical aptitude for bolting and securing components, and the ability to read and interpret assembly drawings. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality control procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble structural frames and components according to assembly drawings and specifications.
Use hand and power tools to cut, measure, and fit materials to precise dimensions.
Secure components using bolting, fastening, and other mechanical techniques.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality control checklists.
Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, alignment, and compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance assembly processes and productivity.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in carpentry, mechanical assembly, or a related trade.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
Good communication skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience assembling structural or industrial components.
Familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments.
Knowledge of quality control standards and safety procedures.
Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of 5 to 10 bonding employees accomplish schedule, quality and budget performance goals
Track quality performance i.e. minimize HP issues and limit Stadler caused NCR's to less than 20% annualized of total
Schedule work to maximize productivity of team members, limit downtime caused by missing parts, collaborate with other Team Leads to keep team members productive i.e. no lost work due to HP issues, complete tasks in time for other teams to continue work per schedule
Develop Foreman into leaders
Take responsibility for team shortcomings
Hire/fire/develop team members in accordance with company policy
Maintain a safe work environment by following Stadler's safety procedures at all times
Qualifications
At least one year of leadership experience (foreman or above)
European Adhesive Bonding Certificate (EAB)
Willingness to pursue European Adhesive Specialist Certificate (EAS) within 12 months
Excellent communication skills
Willing to adapt to new situations and challenges
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
