Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes Education: High school diploma or GED required What you'll Need To Succeed: Proficient in reading blueprints Testing knowledge of electrical switching e.g. relays, contactors and circuit breakers. Demonstrate the skills to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools. Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures. Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred. Manufacturing assembly experience. Soldering experience preferred. Physical demands: Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile). Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes. Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. These are entry level assembly positions but prior production and/or warehouse assembly experience will be beneficial. The employees will need to be able to walk/stand between 4 -8 hours per day. The position will entail hand assembly of products, packaging of products, and light machine operation.
